The oik-nivo-slider plugin provides an advanced [nivo] shortcode.

Easy to implement and enough options to go trough.
4 stars for now because it doesn't support jquery 2.0.0 atm and it installs a lot of other oik plugins. (though not al have to be activated)

Installs a lot of other oik plugins just to get a simple tiny slideshow running.
too much bloat for my personal use.
Only useful if you're already using a bunch of oik plugins

But the base plugin is not a simple tiny background-plugin (the slider itself is some tiny plugin, with not much settings). The base plugin installed NINE other plugins.
So you got :
If you already use oik-stuff and don't need much settings, this is propably the slideshow for you.
