Because most (all?) social networks don't let you grab email from the user's profile (for spam reasons), it would seem fairly necessary for the plugin to gather that information from the user (a la WordPress-Social-Login 'bouncer' feature) as email is pretty darn important info to have from your users.
I can't believe how much power you get from this one plugin. In just half an hour I enabled facebook and twitter login to my site. Very impressed, and very grateful.
Update: I just dropped this from five stars. It turns out you are limited to 2,500 users on the free package, but there is nothing in the plugin description or FAQs to suggest plugin users will ever have to pay. It seems that the plugin authors are trying to trap people: once a site is reliant on social logins and registrations using this plugin, and once the site is successful (more than 2,500 users), the trap is sprung, and the user is (practically) forced to pay. If only the plugin was open about their freemium business model, I would put it back up to five stars.
Followed the steps exactly for a few of the social sites and they do not work. I'm assuming the instructions are outdated.
Facebook gives the error: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.
Twitch, linkedin, google, steam, and twitter seem to work fine. Youtube instructions also seem to be very out of date, not sure what the functionality is there for since it's integrated with google+ now anyway.
There's currently a bug with this software, at least given my setup. If I enable it and connect it to FB, then my avatar is automatically adopted as my FB pic, and there's no way to change this even in the avatar selection area.
Other than that, very nice app.
plugin is easy to configure but you have to create ac on their site.
