The most popular WordPress gallery plugin and one of the most popular plugins of all time with over 12 million downloads.
The gallery offers everything you need. Only downside is that updates are always taking a long time and the UI/UX for adding a gallery to an album isn't as logical as it can be for the less tech savy user.
I use this gallery-plugin for a couple of years now and almost all the time it works fine. Onely one version a while ago gave me some trouble, but that was quickly solved. The only disadvantage I can think of is that there are too many options. The learning curve is a bit steep. But when it works, it works well!
2.0.66 in use now - I almost migrated to 2.0.77 but it was already time-consuming getting to know the version I started with...
Very robust tool - matter of fact I'd give it a '5' (instead of 4) if it was a bit leaner and more user-friendly. Controls are a bit old-school - though with some learning-curve action it becomes excellent.
Really decent and good plug-in. Very flexible in many ways from developers view. Although the admin side could be a bit more user friendly. Because of the many options, some of my employees sometimes finding it difficult to understand.
I think this is a great plugin and when I needed some help there support team responded right a way helped me out. I'm looking forward to getting my website up and running with Nextgen Pro.
Displays "Flash slideshow support has been removed from NextGEN Gallery. Please see this blog post for more information." to regular subscriber users when they are logged into my WordPress Multisite. I can see the need to have this for the admin but this is not necessary or should be allowed to be turned off at the admin level for the plugin.
With new upgrading nextgen can't find my images
I have two sites that I maintain and I would like to be able to use NextGen on both of them. My first site is my business site, which I have my own hosting package for. It works flawlessly on that site. So much so that I ordered the Photocrati Theme for my site as well (love that).
The other site is my wife's site. I can't get it to work properly on that site. It errors out on uploading images every time. Her site is on the same account as my personal hosting package, which runs a couple of other WordPress sites. I don't know if this is the cause of the problem, but it's unfortunate because my wife's site could definitely benefit from this plugin. I'm considering moving her site over to my other hosting account (both on the same hosting provider) and see if that helps.
Other than the problems on my wife's site, this is a great plugin and I am very happy with it.
