The most popular WordPress gallery plugin and one of the most popular plugins of all time with over 12 million downloads.
Excelente Galería, muchas utilidades en un sólo Plugins, gracias por el aportazo amigo.
If your site crashes, just do what i did to get it working again.
Remove the nextgen plugin folder via ftp and your site will reload.
Then deactivate all plugins except essential ones.
Reinstall nextgen and it will work fine!
If it doesn't there's a conflict with one of your still activated plugins.
If it installs fine, reactivate plugins one by one till you find the culprit.
Plugin does all it needs to (5 stars)
Works Great for my personal Blog with lots of vacation pictures above and below water! :-)
We host A LOT of pictures and NGG works great for us. Having the social media and ecommerce functionality of the PRO plug-in is great. Many of our users are on mobile devices and our galleries function well for them also. Good stuff!!
In the last updates next gen gallery bring me problems in my database. I bought the extension photocrati plus but still errors, i contacted support but they didn't do anything and after two months waiting I think they won't do it.
I would like to use a different plugin for images but in my website it is very necessary users can upload their own photos, i was using public uploader
I bought pro version. Table wp_options had size 2Gb after 1 week work with NextGen. Site has been crashed. Is it plugin? No. It's a killer of sites for your money
I created a new website for my photography business last year and was looking for a way to create beautiful galleries with my photos. I came across a lot of plugins but none of them were working for me. NextGen Gallery Plugin was the only one to work with my WordPress site, technically speaking, and was the only one to offer me what I wanted, creatively. I'm using it now for more than a year and never had any problems with it, it works perfectly. At the moment I'm using the Pro version and I have to say it's worth all the money. Best investment I made for my website so far. Plus, their staff is very nice and helpful, they respond to your emails very fast and always solving any problems.
For me, as a photographer and WordPress user this plugging is the best choice. I recommend it to everyone with all my heart.
Love it / hate it.
I tried NGG on one site, it worked like a dream. It was a relatively new site and I was wanting to install a gallery where users could vote on an image.
After a happy first experience, I then decided to install it on my main travel blog.
Bam. No access to /wp-admin. Site still up and running but no admin access.
I logged in via FTP and deleted the folder for the plugin.
This gave me access but with many error messages.
I deactivated and then uninstalled every other plugin changed themes etc.
After removing all other plugins I reinstalled NGG and then tried to uninstall it immediately.
I keep getting an error when I first log in
"wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in wp-includes/functions.php on line 4198
Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 4201
Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 4204
Then when I try to make changes to some settings (not all) I get
not defined for ExtensibleObject
I decided to do a test install on a third domain which was relatively new and I had only written two pages and a post. Crashed that one also.
I had copied the content of the two posts so it was a relatively simple process to wipe the entire site and database and start from scratch.
I then installed NGG as the first plugin and it loaded ok.
Now it could be said that it is not directly an NGG issue as it is evidently a conflict with one of the other plugins. Maybe the order in which they are installed.
My feelings on this matter is: the other plugins I use are aware of NGG when they are installed but NGG does not have the same courtesy to check incompatibilities on existing plugins.
So what I now need, is a list of every change that NGG makes to existing files/code and also every database entry so I can manually delete every one.
If I get this, then maybe I would possibly consider upgrading from a 1 to something higher. But with all due respect even though I would have given it a 5 star on the first site, the fact that it destroyed my other two sites... I can never now give it a 5 star
Any list of database entries and code changes would be appreciated.
Site crashed after I tried upgrading a couple of times from 1.9.13 over the past 12 months. Version 1.9.13 was great. Have decided to move on.
