Lots of notifications for non-available features
By ,

I was a bit behind with updates due to one plugin (not yours) blocking updates. I updated today and I got, like, at least 3 notifications of features that I should set up more properly, standing to what they said (some caching expiration too low, some content filter or whatever). Oh, there was also a huge badge on top saying "thanks for installing NGB blabla" except I didn't install it, I just updated.

Now, the reason for admin notifications should be pretty serious to me (ever wondered what would happen if all plugins, when updated, showed up a notification?). I could even accept notifications that pointed out real improvements achievable by different setups, but WHAT I CANNOT ACCEPT is notifications pointing out settings changes that, oh well, are only available to PRO users (which I'm not). So 2 things:

  • You're against the WP repo restrictions, which state that all code in free plugins, and all implemented features must be fully-functional, and not just dummy waiting for cash to come in.
  • You're being an annoying nuisance to users, displaying notices about things they can't use.

This plugin can work however fine you want, but I won't stick with people who don't follow the rules and pick users by the nose.

Easy to install. Missing FB og:Image tag in free version.

Easy install.
No instructions that I could find, but pretty easy to figure out after poking around.

But.... no facebook og:image tag, which is the most useful Meta tag (for me).

So, unfortunately, for my needs, worthless.
