basically you can't do anything with this worthless plugin, it just shows you what is possible if you pay $60, should bet taken out of the list of wp plugins.
This is technically a violation of the Plugin Guidelines of WordPress.org by requiring a purchase to do something that comes in-code and disabling something is already in code.
So everyone is aware, this plugin will place its own very ugly social-sharing buttons all over your website, your pages, contact us, about, private pages, etc with zero control and no way to turn the feature off globally without purchasing the pro version.
I needed the Pro version (for custom FB preview imagery & copy) which I consider a bit too expensive, but ultimately worth it if you consider the time it'd cost to develop even a one-time solution for one of your pages.
I had a minor issue with licensing, but the support staff was quick and relatively helpful— seemingly not too interested in actually getting to the bottom of things, but my issue was disappeared following a plugin update I performed in the meantime, so I did not pursue it further. Overall, a good experience.
Thank you guys for working on this!
Regret buying the pro version, its a full time job maintaining it! Need to update it every day. Do not have time for that dudes, get your act straight for gods sake!
what a waste of time - you must purchase to have really any useful features. At least some common functionality, like the ability to set a Facebook image, for example, should be included with trial version. waste of time
The plugin is great, but it's licensing model is clearly aimed to one-man-wordpress-shops doing stuff directly on the production systems. Professional service companies or teams of people developing a wordpress site will seen be really frustrated by its lack of "development licenses" - and nobody is paying 10 licenses to support 10 developer environments for one production site!
Every time a developer forgets to disable NGFB after importing the current production database state, it fucks up the license-host-mapping on NGFBs central system, your production site has no more NGFB pro running and you have to write a nonsense support issue to clear the mapping (e.g. license now pointing to https://mysite.myname.dev.mycompany.com instead of https://mysite.com). The developer of NGFB doesn't even try to understand the problem with its licensing model and should orientate on really successful plugins like WPML, Gravity Forms and such, who supply Developer License plans.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Does everything it should an more. It's a bit more work to manage images for it, but it's well worth the trouble.
