Used to love this. But the last few months it either doesn't send or it says it sent and in the statistics it shows all sent but none opened. I never even receive my own newsletter to either of my email addresses. No customer support. No help in forums.
Wasted 1/2 day trying to figure this out and get it to work properly. Loaded Arigato Light and had a test newsletter in my box in 2 minutes.
Really confusing interface lacking the obvious controls like 'send now'. I've been trying to find the control for sending to subscribers marked test for two days and still can't find it (I saw it somewhere).
And there seems to be no support.
Won't be buying and I'll be uninstalling the plugin.
I didn't listen to all the people who said this plugin doesn't work right, figuring as an advanced user, I should be able to figure it out, even if its not perfect.
I don't know how this plugin is getting all these high reviews but its a clear sign that those who blindly praise it have no clue how deficient this plugin really is and I should have listened to the few who actually had technical experience with it.
1. It doesn't send mail and when it does its so hit and miss there is NO WAY IN HELL you can rely on it, KNOWING it was sent, that's lame to say the least.
2. The server is configured perfectly, all other plugins using the mail server work just fine, just this one can't send anything out with any degree of reliability, even internal test messages are hit and miss, ridiculous.
3. Finally, when you click on "totally remove this plugin" it gives warning about are sure and then does absolutely NOTHING, just sits there with a blank page like an idiot, that is the kind of reliability you can expect with it.
I guess providing a broken plugin with no means of support unless you pay for a dysfunctional product is the way they have chosen to go. You can't get any help when it doesn't work, unless you sign up for a forum and hope someone responds or pay for a broken product only to get support, that's just terrible. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.
With your Newsletter plugin Version: 3.8.1, you help to support Phishing.
The file statistics/link.php redirected any traffic to any page and was used by Spammers. Finally, my IP-Address of my Server was listet in CBL from Spamhaus.
Fortunately I've seen, you corrected the issue.
Something is wrong with the Pause button
I installed the plugin but it didn't see my existing subscribers, so I had to find another plugin to export the subscribers, then reimport them to this plugin. After this I sent the email, but for 42,000 subscribers, it takes time - currently its sent out nearly 7000 in about 3 days (it's limited to about 00 per hour). That means that I can't send from WordPress to all subscribers quickly - it will take a couple of weeks. That's not the plugin's fault - it the limit set by the hosting companies. However, of the 7000 newsletters that have gone out as I write this, only one has been opened. And guess what? I opened it! I found the email in my spam even though I'd sent a test email and told my spam filter it wasn't spam - the live email ended up there again. So I found it, but no-one else has trawled their spam to read the email newletter. Gutted!
Poor, considering the bugs in this and the paid extensions that half of don't work properly unless you have a vanilla WP theme with no other plugins.
Could have spent less on a proper paid newsletter plugin.
I can translate the mails and success-/error-messages only, but not the backend.
My client cannot understand english so this plugin is useless for him.
You write "fully translatable from administrative panels" as a feature, but it's not a feature... There are Plugins where you can easiely translate mo/po-files.
I got no support for the pro version for 2 months now, the follow up plugin became a blank textarea without even changing anything except updating wordpress and the plugin...
Also the plugin looks still in alpha step with many todo's.
