Hide custom menu items based on user roles
Easy to use and very efficient, thanks Hilga
This is an easy to use plugin that is ideal when you need to restrict navigation links to specific user roles. Thank you!
Since several months I was using a short piece of code in function.php in order to have a alternative menu for connected user.
By chance I discovered this plugin and then ta-da it's magic it does what I wanted and more.
Very, very thanks to you.
I've been looking for a plugin like this for a long time. I am very impressed. It is clean and easy to use. Thanks so much.
What the doctor needed. Painless installation and works flawlessly. Thanks!
I was looking for hours for such functionality. Within seconds my problems were solved. Thanks for the very good work.
Very easy to use plugin thank you so much
This plugin is very useful for differentiating authenticated users with unauthenticated ones, and displaying menus via "role-based" permissions. The UI is simple and intuitive, and it works without issue in all my test cases.
There are known conflicts with some themes (Jupiter comes to mind), but helgatheviking has done a fantastic job of documenting how to work around these issues, as well as championing a workaround that WordPress itself should have used three plus years ago.
This plugin is very useful for hiding menu options for logged-in/logged-out users and by user role (vendor functions in my case) and it is very simple to configure.
I will note that I got a pop-up saying there "might" be a conflict with my KLEO theme's menu system, but I found no conflicts after testing and simply hid the message!
I'm using WP 4.1 with Nginx+HHVM and no issues detected. :)
This is so effective and intuitive. As WordPress is employed more as a complex CMS, with access to varying roles in an organization, this will be used a lot. I agree with another commenter that this should go in the core.
