Easy, Flexible Audio for WordPress.
I've been on the prowl the past week for a plugin that would play a radio stream from a webpage. The free ones I found either were fully flash, fully html5, or were ad-driven. No bueno.
I found MP3-JPlayer, but was having some difficulty getting it to work. Simon's support was great. I'll be discussing accessibility tweaks w/him, as he is most receptive.
If anyone needs a plugin to play an Icecast stream, as well as a folder of mp3's or single ones, for that matter, this 1 should meet your requirements. In fact, I think I'll go see if Mr. Ward has a Paypal link in order to reward his efforts. If you use the plugin, please do likewise--&--no, I have no affiliation w/him.
Great Plugin very useful, thanks for your work
I was absolutely amazed by the support Simon gave me. The software is really cool as well.
I like it a lot. Simple and no hassle.
Didn't manage to make playlists but maybe my fault, for single mp3s this is great. Thanks a lot!!
since last update of Chrome for Android the player doesn't work anymore. Hopefully Simon can fix asap.
I tried 5 other plugins before finding this one!
I was simply looking to auto create a playlist of MP3 files from a folder uploaded to the server.
One line of shortcode and it works great!
If you were looking for a way to smoothly integrate jplayer and its skins, don't lose your time here.
was a little hard to setup because i need multiple playlists and im a noob in wordpress.
if it helps:
1. in the file manager, i created a new folder "audio" in "wp-content".
2. in 'audio' added more folders (playlist names)
3. into each folder uploaded the mp3 files relevant to the playlist.
in the post page added the shortcode (can be found in plugin website):
[ mp3-jplayer tracks="FEED:/wp-content/audio/playlist-name" dload="y"]
(without the spacing)
and works perfect!
one last tip - make sure that in settings > media library> order playlist by: is TITLE (and not 'filename')
Negative points :
This plugin doesn’t read mp3 tags
There is no admin panel, you have to upload thes file via ftp
shortcode is complex
Design is awful
