This plugin allows you to set up minimum or maximum purchase rules for products in your store. Purchases must meet these rules to proceed to payment.
This is just a funnel to get people to buy the full version. Bah.
I needed a plugin that would allow me to divide up shipping methods between several categories of products that also have 2 different minimum purchase requirements. One set of products ship via Fed Ex and the others ship via USPS, both from different locations. Both types of products require different minimums to complete a purchase as well.
I have found that customers don't 'read', thus I until I found this plug-in I couldn't sell both types of products in 1 website. When I tried, it created too many problems resulting in the need to cancel more orders than I was able to accept.
I was about to give up completely, until I finally came across this plugin. I had a few initial problems setting it up, but the tech support is off the charts awesome!!
Now when customers don't meet the minimums, there is a very good message in the cart explaining why. It also computes how much more they need to purchase to meet the requirement. Even better, the plugin totals the shipping costs into one (1) single total if bot types of products are in the cart.
I do need to mention that I found that using a 'table-rate shipping method' works out best if you have similar needs to what I needed to accomplish. I'm using WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping Pro of which I found the support to be good for that as well.
I agree with EasyStore above. I recently created a WooCommerce site, set up lots of products and having configured a previous version of Min and Max Purchase for WooCommerce, I was able to set a min order qty for a single product category (I just need a minimum order rule for about 8 products).
Having temporarily deactivated the plugin for troubleshooting an unrelated issue, it self-updated upon re-activation. Now I have lost the above functionality! Not a very happy man and can't justify the price for Pro version to get this functionality back.
Found an alternative that seems to have done the trick: (for those interested)
WooCommerce Advanced Product Quantities
I had an issue with a custom function I had forgotten about. The support called me on Skype a few hours after I created the ticket and we found the problem in no time. It is now working like a charm !
The Pro version saved me. The ability to configure min/max prices per Category is an excellent feature. I spent a lot of time searching the web for this solution, and this plugin seems to be the only solid option. The admin side of things is very straight forward and easy to use.
Also, the support couldn't be better. Very quick to reply and very willing to help resolve any issues.
I had some trouble installing the plugin, I reached out to support via email and they responded immediately, time after time, because I wasn't able to get it to work.
I finally gave up and was going to had the project over to my wed developer.
But Mark emailed me back to check the status. I was very surprised, not many shops will email you back to ensure what you purchased works. Great customer service.
I was able to install the plugin, it was an easy fix. And the product does exactly what I need it to.
The free version does a good job setting and managing purchase levels; however the Pro version does a great job. The customer service and support response on the littlest questions have been fantastic. Would suggest the ability to turn off saving information for lifetime purchases. Thanks again for the great plugin and help!
I tried your plugin, and it's great for free. Some room for improvement though:
Hope you find the feedback useful - it's not criticism, just constructive feedback.
I'm sorry to only rank 2 stars, but I only have two products out of the 100's of products I sell that I needed to apply a min quantity to. I was hoping your free version would work for just those two products, but I was unable to categorize with out purchasing the pro version. I hate that I have to buy a plugin for only two products, but so it goes.
In addition to being limiting, the Role portion of your plugin was a little confusing to me as a new WP, ecommerce person. Therefore, it looks like I'll be using the WooCommerce plugin since it is more cost effective than your plugin and doesn't appear to have that role/user portion to it.
Those who give this plugin a low rating need to follow up and re-rate now that the plugin has updated. I also had problems with the initial release, but received great support from the developer. Have updated to 1.06 and the grey screen and other bug issues I had are solved. Thanks for the great support of a FREE plugin!
