I'm actually a supporter of making things premium for custom settings. But the whole point of being a part of repository is to have functional basic model for FREE. Otherwise you need to get off depository and WP.org search. (like Enfold theme for example, they don't offer free version and they are not on wp.org)
I think I'm ok with majority of your limitations even... it'd be nice to allow syncing to popular google calendar for free but even that's something I can accept since it is convenience you're paying for.
My 1 star review comes from ONE simple thing - Business Hours.
FREE version comes with preset biz hours of 9a-5p M-F and you cannot change it AT ALL! I mean Come on!!!
I'd understand if you require everyday same hour and cannot change it based on day by day but being able to set your own hours including weekend should be very basic free option.
If you change this and allow setting own biz hours for all 7 days or maybe do 1 set of weekday and 1 set of weekend or something, I'd be HAPPY to change my 1 star to 5. Cuz you deserve it as it's a nice plugin.
But being a part of wp.org repository does mean you'll get FREE marketing in return of providing basic 'USABLE' plugin for free, at least in my opinion.
P.S: I was installing this for a client and I was going to set this up with basic feature and recommend him to go pro to get additional benefits. But without 'functioning' basic plugin, sorry but I cannot recommend it to my client.
The default non-paying version is totally useless. Unless you pay to upgrade to the 'pro' version - but I doubt how good the pro version is, given how useless the free version is.
Want to customise any part of the schedule calendar? Pay to upgrade.
Want to change the colour scheme? Pay to upgrade.
Want to edit the wording on the reply after booking? Pay to upgrade.
You get the picture.
Avoid like the plague
The apps is just OK. The problem lies within their renewal and support process. If you plan on using this tool FOR ETERNITY... don't worry. However, with renewals they are sneaky. They send the mandatory renewal email but use a tricky email address and subject line. And the renewal notice is buried at the bottom of the email.
They also send the renewal email and bill you on a Saturday so you don't have a chance to cancel your account.
I do not recommend.
Tried free offer, and it does not work!!!
I cannot remove the plugin and I cannot sign in to their backend to edit my form. I want to edit, but on the WP dashboard I need to signin and it does not allow me to, so I cannot edit. Therefore the need to uninstall and there is no option for it. so now I am stuck with this system that is trying to force me to pay... Don't install this!
false advertising for a failing plugin
After reading the reviews I took a chance. The *FREE* trial is BS. I got charged within 48 hours. Called and they said oh the free trial is only for annual billing not monthly billing. STAY AWAY. Had to go through credit card company. The whole thing is sleazy, not just the billing, I cant put my finger on it exactly but I run a business and deal with businesses all the time and this is not on the level.
the plugin doesn't work as is, so don't install it.
the free trial is paid from the first second you try it.
when the free trial is over and you don't want to continue, forget about being refunded. you will never see your money again.
if you forgot that the trial period is over, and you didn't cancel, forget the money you paid for the free trial, on top of that they will start billing you for a new month.
the customer service is the worst i ever seen. it is automatic. for you to have a real answer you have to wait around 2 weeks (after several emails of course).
the support documentation is almost nonexistent. you are on your own.
if you still want to go forward you have been warned.
I signed up with cVita for a FREE trial, within few minuets they had charged me. This company has the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. This is a SCAM, don't use them.
Unprofessional re seller representatives that can not get back with a person when asked to. They were rude and they lied.
