You can make sub-directories in the upload directory, and move files into them.
Even moving a couple images at a time seemed to take quite a while. But it usually worked. Once my folders started containing a thousand images it slowed down even more, even when only moving an image or two. Then it would crash and the page would need to be reloaded.
Starting with the basics - it would be good if I could upload directly into a sub-directory - instead, I need to add media and then move it - very painful when dealing with lots of media file.
Problem/Bug - I tried to move 83 documents into a sub-folder:
1. I had to manually select each one by one
2. On transfer, there was a duplicate in the sub-directory so:
a) program just exited (no option to overwrite or ignore)
b) program didn't copy any files (not even non-duplicates)
c) after program exit, it deselected all the files and I had to start selecting them all again...
It is a very basic tool - not a solution to Media directory issues
