a great easy to use and extremely powerful little extension.
let's you filter your media items in categories.
Somethings are made to make life easier and this one is definatly in my standard installations for any wordpress project.
Thanks to the developer.
I've only used this to display a list of some PDFs in a widget (using the plugin Shortcode Widget) and it's good for that.
I am using a child theme but this plugin looks in the parent theme for your customised templates, so if you follow the instructions and put the
media-category-library directory in the child theme it won't be recognised.
Putting it in the parent theme probably won't be a problem, theme upgrades are unlikely to delete it.
Perfect to organize your library.
its the best plugin for "Media Category"
very good plugin thank you so much
does what it is meant to do, simply, quickly.
This is one of the most useful plugins I have to date! I have lots of sites with lots of images and it's been so hard to find them when I need them. I have been searching and searching for a plugin like this. When I asked a question about whether I could somehow add categories to bulks of images...he simply added the feature to the plugin and next thing I know it's available! I'm completely satisfied with it as is so any further improvements will be totally bonus! Thanks.
I tried other similar plugins and this is the best. I would suggest adding a bulk category assignment.
Moving from DotNetNuke to WordPress, I kind of expected that WordPress would have categories for media. Otherwise, it becomes pretty unwieldy once more than a few media files are uploaded. I am pleased to have found this plug-in, which worked perfectly.
Categories are not tags. So, every item must have only one. Other plugins are complicated and tag the picture for the web, or create new albums on top of the wordpress galleries. I just wanted to clasify my photos in the admin panel. This plugin is perfect for that.
