Maven Member™ lets you protect pages, posts and categories using flexible roles that you can define.
This plugin has destroyed my site. It looks good at first, but after closing my browser and reopening to login to the backend of WP it has disabled my access. I can no longer access the backend and am stuck.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PLUGIN! EITHER FIX THE PLUGIN OR REMOVE IT FROM THE OPTIONS OF POSSIBLE DOWNLOADS.
When you deactivate and remove this plugin it leaves behind traces within the wordpress install.
I'm thinking I may have to establish a fresh install of wordpress to get rid of them all which is ridiculous and an incredible waste of time. I hope the developers deal with this issue before the next release...
Congrats to the team for developing this useful Frontend Access Plugin.
Trying to remove trash left by this plugin!
My mistake - I didn't read the comments...
It really leaves trash after unistall.
And to delete this trash, you'll need to visit Mysql.
And after this, WP didn't let me in to admin area - it removed my administrator role. There was no trick to change it (not in Mysql directly). In the end I was forced to reinstall WP and to create all my content again.
Sorry guys, nothing personal - it just didn't suit my needs.
I love the versatility of the plugin and no matter how complicated the nesting gets the plugin is solid. :)
Apart from the stranfe way this plugin behaves, you can't even uninstall it. Deactivating it and deleting it still leaves bad behaviours in wordpress. It still leaves MAVEN options inside other plugins.
After messing around with several plugins that didn't work together, I came across this plugin. It does EXACTLY what I need it to do BEAUTIFULLY. Thank you so much!!!
Neat and to the point!
Did not clean-up after itself thoroughly on uninstallation, now I have to explain to the client what the additional role specified is for. Also leads to worry that other elements may not have been removed.
