Appends unwanted html to .xml and .xsl generated by Yoast SEO
By ,

I found out that this plugin conflicts with Yoast SEO plugin.

It appends some javascript code at end of
sitemap_index.xml and main-sitemap.xsl causing site maps to break.

Works as expected

Works as expected. Not that bad as per the rating.

How could MailChimp make something so bad?
By , for WP 4.4.2

MailChimp is awesome - there is no doubts there, I love the platform.

But how MailChimp could create such a bad WordPress plugin is beyond me. You have to keep it logged in to keep it working, and the basic form styling is terrible. This is the worst newsletter plugin I have ever seen.

MailChimp, what happened? Seriously. Do you even read the reviews here?

Anyway, do not download and waste your time here. There are so many better MailChimp plugins and the best ones I've seen are on CodeCanyon.

The plugin has stuff that would be easy to solve but...
By , for WP 4.1

- Is difficult to style if you want to adjust with the theme styles.
- Add CSS in the middel of HTML which is a direct no validate in W3C Validator.
- Add too much extra JS which kills google pagespeed test.

PHP 5.6 required
By ,

This plugin uses hash_equals() ((PHP 5 >= 5.6.0). If your server not work with PHP 5.6, you can not connect to mailchimp.

not very good
By , for WP 4.0.1

Needs updating.
* Should be faster by minifying the CSS and JS.
* Default styling should be nicer
* Input type for email should be "email" and not "text"
* Email input should have required tag

Not able to add it anywhere you want
By , for WP 3.9.2

I wanted to add the form in several pages of my website, cannot do it it seems. It can only be integrated in a widget.. so i'll now try this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/installation/

The free version is nothing but a gimmick.
By , for WP 4.0

you'll have to pay for everything and the free version is only .. usable but not at all good looking.

Works as advertised
By , for WP 4.0

The design for the admin interface resembles the Mailchimp own interface, which may be inadequate in some circumstances.
In the front-end, on the other hand, it is quite vanilla which is a big plus in my opinion. Other plugins i've tried I had to overwrite a lot of style definitions.

One thing prevents me from giving 5 stars. The authentication method doesn't allow to authenticate while in local development.

Doesn't sync registered users
By , for WP 4.0

I was under the clearly mistaken impression that this plug-in would keep WordPress registered users and Chimp lists in sync. It does not. It creates a Chimp form in a widget. There has to be a better way to handle dual registration.
