Lets WordPress users display lists of files in their pages and posts in a myriad of interesting ways.
A clean and simple way to do just what it says -- list your files. You can tell it which directory you want it to point to. Just insert the shortcode and you're done -- it also has a bunch of useful parameters you can pass, like how to sort, whether to display file sizes and icons, etc. The display is in a clean attractive table.
It also has an upload functionality but for member-based file uploading on the front end, I would suggest using something like Gravity Forms (file upload field) with a hook in your functions file to put all uploads into the directory that list-yo-files searches.
Anyway thanks for a great plugin!
Does as supposed to do :) Great!
Well done. Would like a download "select all" feature but that's no reason not to give it 5 stars! Love it.
Does what it says, really. Great for creating an 'archive list' of files for people to view/download. Only thing I'd like is a bit more control over how it displays. Would definitely recommend to other WordPress users.
Worked great, just as advertised and amazingly well. I do wish that it would also link to directories... but I just manually put the calls for each folder.
Here it is on my site (development only - it will move to www in a few weeks):
is very much what i was looking for and combined with the PDW file browser plugin, i can control the names of the files and the folder creation. I won't be doing much with the shortcodes in the pages once is set.
The css for the icons had borders around the cell so I modified that and set left and right borders to none and now is displays really nice.
