Hi I thought it's a good idea to use this plugin but there was a bug in implementing it into the wp comments section.
But what I would have liked it the option to create own icons.
i was wasting my time
you don't mention that it's monetary in no where, just after install and activating the plugin. wasting peoples time with doing this.
I love the the actual likebtn button - the one with the circle encapsulating the heart. I used the trial version for a week, which has the ULTRA the functionality ($39/yr).
After my free trial ended, I looked through the different plans and decided that the Pro version was best suited to my needs. All I needed was a like button - no social sharing, no popups, no statistical analysis. The plans described the various features, with one option being "Show popup after voting [popup_enabled]". I didn't want a pop-up and assumed that "enabled" meant that for the plans that did not include this option, the popup was a disabled feature. So, I bought the Pro version because it didn't enable it. Oops. After contacting the developer, "enabled" really meant that the popup came enabled and that you could only disable it if you bought one of the two premium versions.
The popup displays "Thanks for Liking" and will not disappear unless the user clicks outside of the button and/or x's-out of the button. Anything that will irritate my visitors is not something I want to include on my site, and people aren't going to be as inclined to like posts if they have to contend with a popup every time they do.
I rated this 1-star because I feel like the developer lacked integrity in how he chose to advertise the options, and I feel like I was intentionally mislead. After contacting the developer and receiving his response, I feel that even more so now. I very likely would have paid the $21 minimum plan (VIP) to get this functionality (disabling it) if it had been clear off the bat, but it wasn't. I don't want to support this add-on as a result and am searching for another like button add-on.
Constantly communicates with likebtn server, downloading unknown scripts.
Unexpectedly stopped working (like/dislike buttons disappeared), my client was very unhappy. Do not use this crap.
i tried out the free version of the plugin. it was okay, but just not for me.
when i deactivated it, it brought down the main page of my site (a post list page). (which worked fine when i reactivated it).
i have turned off all the checkboxes for "pages", "post", "post list", and "comments", but now the "likeBtn" stuff are popping up on my main page which is not good.
i don't know what will happen if in uninstall. very annoyed.
I had a free 'like' button that stopped working so I decided to install this because you usually get a better product if you pay for it. Not in this case.
I couldn't even set it up. It was requesting an API key but after following the instruction on the App website there was no API key there.
I went to the App provider's forums but it won't allow my to login. Pressing the login button refreshes the page but doesn't log me in.
Time to give up but if anyone knows of a 'like' button plugin that does work I'd love to know about it.
Apart from payment, one like button per page. It has major three bugs as of i used.
1. Multiple times a single account holder can like or dislike a same post by log in and log out multiple times.
2. Like count in Firefox and Google Chrome doesn't not match.
3. Click Like or Dislike button in firefox, after few second refresh page immediately count disappears (Even check at demo site http://www.blessingsfrombudapest.com/).
" upgrade, upgrade,
pay, pay, pay . . . "
Invasive plugin! I knew right away I was going to get rid of this plugin when I went to the settings and saw a bunch of junk about upgrading to a paid subscription for more features. And how dare you post this BS on a person's website "Max 1 buttons allowed. Upgrade your website plan on LikeBtn.com"!! There is no reason why your plugin should display this right on a person's posts. If only one is allowed then only one should show up and not your invasive message where the other one would be.
