Plugin does exactly what it says.
Clean and simple functionality, with responsive author.
5/5 , good work!
when a user clicks the like (or dislike) the number 0 disappears and three dots appear. When the page is reloaded, the like or dislike counter is zero.
i'm using all current versions of the blog (4.2.1 and 1.3.0 of the counter.)
Very nice plugin, exactly what i wanted
It could have been 5 stars, however...
I have the pro version, it's not bad but there are plugins that do the same for free.
It would be better if I were able to reset the counters to zero, maybe this could be implemented at the next update (or perhaps an entry in the FAQ describing how to accomplish this).
Finally, I also find it strange that one of the authors has revied the plugin and awarded it 5 stars. That doesen't seem right to me.
thanks for the nice plugin it shows up but its didnot working no idea why
it shows like this when i click the like its not working
Works like charm. Great plugin indeed and yeah its light weight too.
Best Plugin for adding the feature for Like-Dislike. Cool thing is is it works on comments too, flawlessly. I recommend this to all.
[Updated Review] The newest free version (updated 3 weeks ago - or approximately Sep 10, 2013) is a great improvement over the original. The fast-clicking bug has been fixed, and the plugin installs normally, without the necessity of modifying the functions.php file. However, it is now possible for one person to vote multiple times from the same IP address after an interval of a few minutes. The plugin needs to check IP addresses, and it apparently does not.
By default, the plugin displays both "Like" and "Dislike" with thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons after both posts and pages. That will probably suit most users.
If you want to change the default behavior, choose "Use Template code." This is for more experienced users, since you will have to modify your functions.php file in a child theme. You will have to find the post and comment sections in your file to add the code in the proper places. (Do not modify your main functions.php file, because it will be changed with the next theme upgrade.) There are no instructions in the plugin repository, only solicitations for the "Pro" version which has includes a widget showing popular posts.
It does seem a bit self-serving for one of the developers to "review" the plugin (below my review) and give the plugin 5 stars!
I used the plugin and its working great. I would also recommend the pro version. It has great features.
