Finally, newsletters are multilingual, quick and professional: Create and send automated newsletters or through his WYSIWYG editor.
Works great and seems to be the only newsletter plugin that's compatible with the great Postman SMTP plugin.
Un programa fantastic i fàcil d'utilitzar. Genial amb multi-idioma.
I tryed all this kind of plugins, but only knews works fine and have everything I need.
Brilliant newsletter plugin.
Free version working like a charm for me.
Like possibility of building template from blocks, which makes it easy to compose. You can edit templates.
And support is WORLD CLASS even for free version.
Highly recommend that plugin.
He does not respond to pre-sales questions, not to free-support question, and his so called PRIORITY support, is also non-existent.
It's a beautiful plugin, but I have some problems. Unfortunately this guy never responds. Not in this forum, not to several emails I sent, and not via the support possibility in the plugin itself.
I think I'll go and ask a refund, because even a nice looking product like this is worth nothing, if you don't get support when you need it.
50 euro is a waste of money. unfortunately.
Update Aug 28, 2014:
The developer Carles was on holiday. We didn't realize that. As soon as he was back, he refunded and offered to solve all the problems.
Since the plugin looks nice, I also want it to work and I accepted his offer.
His help was fast and very good. He did everything possible to get it fixed, even after he refunded the 50 euro for the pro version.
Carles solved everything. There were some issues that prevented the plugin to work and there were some things I didn't know.
Everything works now exactly as advertised and I am very happy with the results. It IS a great plugin after all. :-)
Update Sep 01, 2014:
One thing is still NOT fixed. And that is actually SENDING the newsletter to more than 500 recipients. Knews creates beautiful newsletters, and if your list is smaller than 500 recipients, you probably won't have problems. But if your list is bigger that this, you get into a lot of trouble.
The code for actually sending the emails seems to be poorly written. We are constantly running into PHP execution timeouts. The first ~500 mails are sent in about 47 seconds. After that everything collapses and the remaining emails are not sent.
We have a pretty powerful dedicated server (i.e. 4 cores / 64 GB RAM / 4 RAID10 SSD disks, 500GB) and this server is capable of sending a decent amount of e-mails per minute. (we use mailjet as SMTP provider)
Still the software wants to send everything in one PHP run. So it's quite understandable that this code runs into PHP execution timeouts and locking up everything thereafter.
I hope Carles will and can fix this ASAP, otherwise we will remove this software because it's simply not working if you have a list of more than a couple of hundred recipients. So if you want to send a newsletter for fun, this is good. If you are looking for a little bit more professional solution, forget it for now.
After a period of time, the author did get back to me and is currently working on a solution to the problem I'm having with the Pro version. The FREE version worked just fine, it was when I paid for the upgrade that it stopped. I have no idea why, but at least the author is trying to resolve the issue.
Having worked as an Emailer for 3 years, this really is a great tool for doing the basics of emailing with multiple segments.
I think the cut off between free and paid version is well-placed - you can get things working to a satisfactory level whilst you list-build and there's nothing 'missing' or limits on the number of people in your subscriber database.
I would look forward to the possibility of combing my subscribers list with my site registered users list, to see more delivery detail, but am not clear yet whether this is an option in Pro.
I love the Mail editor. Once you get a good theme up and running you'll be able to hand off newsletter creation to anyone who can drag and drop. Excellent stuff, almost nothing can go wrong. Even images get resized properly.
Then there's the devs. They listen to you. You tell them you need something, or they could improve something, and they'll either help out immediately, or put it on their to-do list.
Great people, great product and I highly recommend getting the pro license. It puts food on the table of these guys and ensures constant useful updates.
Still has minor bugs with my theme, one is already solved, hopefully their dev crew will help me to solve it too.
So -for me- it is the numero uno newsletter plugin out there!
