thanks for the new fix
Installed this -- tested it with Contact Form 7. Sure, it blocks spam -- it blocks every single submission, so of course no spam will get through.
It works in a manner of minutes (after registration) and you can forget about comment spam!
No need to make your valuable user guess what they need to enter. No need to think of spam bots and spammer. Keypis does.
No more captcha are needed with this plugin
The content guy of our webcomic was swamped with hundreds of spam comments a day. It was nearly impossible to even pick out the good ones to clear for posting. We tried putting in one of the captcha plugins but they were a pain in the butt for some of our readers to use.
The moment we activated KeyPic, the hundreds of spam comments per day were reduced to 2 or 3. Rarely KeyPic would send a new commenter's comment to the spam folder, but that was extremely rare.
Essentially it did what we needed it to do: reduce the workload of the person moderating our comments. Thanks!
Yesterday I proved that Keypic doesn't work. Admin deleted all the proof posts, so, thats ok, I'll run it again and prove that Keypic doesn't protect against:
- repeat attack
- Amazon mturk workers
Also... it allows posting with 3 sec delay, this is absurd... and doesn't even check if the e-mail is valid, neither if the domain is valid. WTF?
This is a joke protection. ReCaptcha sucks hard because it's even hard for humans to go through, but Keypic sucks most just because it simply doesn't work :| :|
Sometimes you see solutions and immediately know they just make sense. Keypic is that.
This has captured thousands of spam messages over the past 18 months. It is simple and easy to instal and use. I just did it once then forgot about it.
Excellent service! Hope large sites will now refuse from Captcha.
