A RESTful API for WordPress
I love this plugin. It is the backbone ( no pun intended ) of how I power mobile applications with WordPress.
I created many webservices in C# under .NET, but switched to WordPress last year. My goal is to provide WordPress teaching, consulting and development services to WordPress developers. This plugin opens huge opportunities for me to show other WordPress developers how to make better sites.
I am very impressed with the quality of the code and documentation and have many ideas for how to implement this in my own sites.
Color me excited and very happy! THANKS!
5/1/2015 Update: I am almost finished with a massive plugin called PostLister that uses JSON API to load all posts into local storage. I am so delighted with the JSON API code that I am looking forward to doing more, as soon as I can release PostLister.
This is an awesome idea. I just wish we could see updates to insure compatibility with future versions of WordPress.
This is really really Great!
I used the API to combine a webb-app-like (AJAX only) site with WP as a cms backend. Works like a charm and appears to have a very small serverside footprint.
This makes mashing wordpress posts into mobile apps or websites flawless!
This plugin replaces what I have been writing myself for many years. Obviously with much greater flexibility and well written source than anything I ever created.
It is a great tool if you're developing a site on a different framework, but want to continue to give clients a super easy platform to manage their content. I also use it for implementing complex AJAX driven websites.
I hope that someday this becomes part of the core WordPress build.
Keep up the great work!!
Ridiculously easy to set up, easy to modify and all round useful utility. Enough filters and hooks to modify the api as needed.
I never thought it could be this easy to handle WordPress content with JSON, it's a real pleasure to work with.
After failing to figure out where I went wrong implementing Jetpack's JSON API, I tried this plugin and, viola!, it worked!
So far, so pleased.
