T(-) Countdown will display a highly customizable, HTML5 countdown timer as a sidebar widget or in a post or page using a shortcode.
Works great and customisation is a sinch if you are CSS savvy. Only marked down to 4* as (1) there's no option to customise the separator and (2) the plugin's stylesheet loads after the theme (_s) so you need to hack the plugin css to override the styles or get stuck into functions.php and unregister stuff.
This said, you won't find a better countdown timer, I've tried! Out of the box greatness. Thank you!
The digits are purposely (I guess) styled so small that they wrap around, the height of the background is purposely styled to be smaller than the digits. I tried the 'tie-fighter' style of the plugin. Not going to bother with other styles as they're probably not styled any better.
Widget seems to work well so far but I'd love the option to remove all styles. My design calls for plain text so I'm having to override A LOT of CSS from the most basic of the widget predefined styles.
Using Twenty Eleven with a Showtime template and no sidebar. I tried in-line shortcode on the page, but it was incomplete and I got a Jedi (default) display that didn't work. I found that the Main Sidebar didn't work. The Showcase Side bar widget setting can be used, but puts the display in the bottom-left corner of the pages. After I got the correct coding on the page, it worked as hoped with the style that I wanted and where I wanted it. Now very happy!
I understand the month problem, but I really would prefer to have the months instead of the weeks. If it comes, then I will give it 5 stars.
I tried several other countdown widgets, they all fell short. This one does it's job and does it well. I would like the ability to spin my own skin, but as it's free I really can't complain.
May the force continue to be with the developers!
It is all I need. Thanks for this great work.
