Your WordPress, Streamlined.
I noticed that suddenly my blog had some glacial load times. Then I uninstalled "jetpack" Now it's fast again.
I had to roll JetPack back to 3.4.3, and am considering rolling it back to 3.3.x, depending on CPU performance over the next few days. This version uses too many CPU cycles, putting blogs at risk of being taken off-line by their hosts.
(I might add that the blog host is one recommended by WordPress)
Did you have Jetpack installed when you updated to WP 4.2?
Did you experience the ugly message:
Something has gotten mixed up! caused by Jetpack? Are you still struggling to get all your sites fixed up so that your admin page doesn't look like it's been hacked? Are you waiting for WP 4.2.1 in the hopes someone can fix this mess?
I upgraded from 3.3 to 3.4.2 (because WordPress said I have to) and all my stats got deleted and all settings lost. Thanks jetpack.
Latest version of wordpress plugins crashed my entire site!!!! OMG what is going on???
I have gone to my hosting company, and managed to get my site back up and running again, from a back up of one day and one hour old. It does not have the jetpack on it now! So, went back in to load it up and it seems to only steer you to load up the latest version, so I uploaded that and have a guess what? It crashed my site again, to complete white screen!!! OMG what is going on!!!!!!
So back to my hosting company to get a back up installed, so my site is up and running again! This is joke. It won't let me download the earlier version...~Wordpress, this is terrible, it has clearly been having problems for weeks now, why is there no warning or why have the new versions not been taken down? I am now up and running again, with a back up of my website and all the files, just without any stats, which is not good, as I live by the stats, that is how I know how my site is doing on a daily basis. Can someone please help me. By the way, I am a total non techy, just doing my best to get through this mess.... thanks for any input or advice you can give. Tanya
You will surprise how much time took Jetpack's loading.
On my AVADA theme(3.7.3), It took above 2.5 sec~5sec just for plug in load.
It caused layout crash on old android browser(prior to 4.3).
I have deleted Jet pack. Oh my! All of issues were disappeared.
crashes site, white screen of death. Stay on previous version. Do not upgrade!
Not sure what is going on here, the plugin secretly turned on a maths captcha on one of my sites, the maths captcha code did not work properly, and we were all locked out
so had to delete the plugin from cpanel
not good really
Please solve this math problem to prove that you are not a bot. Once you solve it, you will need to log in again.
New update crashed the website. Then Jetpack disappeared from my WordPress admin panel and all the settings along with it.
Seems everyone is having a similar issue.
My team on my website works very hard to drive content and keep track of everything. Jetpack did a good job of this, until now. I am afraid that all that hard work and the settings along with the views tally are now going to be affected and wiped out back to zero.
Tried re-installing Jetpack (because it is not visible and appears to have deleted itself) but I was unable to because the folder exists. I am no longer able to access, delete, or install Jetpack because of this issue.
Over 2 weeks ago you rolled out the update and it updated itself and crashed my site
Finally after spending over half an hour with Bluehost I figured out it was YOUR New update !
After I googled and found all these people complaining
At the moment my jetpack is disabled until I know its going to work
FYI before the update I would have given it a 5 !
