All our websites using Jetpack slowed down taking almost a minute to load. The problem is that this plugin has to load from WordPress Servers (connecting to s0.wp.com took forever). It did not always take a minute to load at first, just some times, but it slowed it down by couple of seconds on average, which is still drastic.
Do not install this plugin. Find alternate plugins.
A bit bulky but pretty good if you selectively disable modules.
So 5 stars
Plugins are necessary for web pages, anything for speed, efficiency and which looks good becomes a necessary tool in the design of the webpage.
Considero que es muy útil, profesional y bien integrado, con muchas funciones que sí sirven y que sí se utilizan.
Felicito a los desarrolladores.
I've had no issues so far. Been using it for a year. I'd recommend only enabling the modules you need.. currently I have 7, mostly around security and publicizing my posts. Everything I've enabled works as advertised. Thanks!
Amazing plugin, thank you!
I just launched the live version of my site and I was super excited. I found out that I needed Jetpack to manually (?!!??!) reset my stats since it has registered several of my own visits and I wanted to start out fresh. I emailed Jetpack and asked them to reset the stats. Didn't hear back for a day, then the person asked me to disconnect Jetpack, which I promptly did and emailed her back. And... nothing. Sent a couple of follow up emails to see why she didn't reset the stats. Then got an email back the next day saying that each email bumped me to the back of the line, and to disconnect Jetpack, and confirm the site name, and she would be sure to reset the stats right away. So I disconnected Jetpack and emailed her back within 10 minutes. And... nothing. This was early yesterday. I have Jetpack on my site for a reason. It has functionality I am using. But... nothing. And I dare not email these people. So, so frustrated right now.
I'm usually quite generous to hard working teams who wants to created great things. But I must be fair an admit that my experience with JP isn't that satisfying as it was so hype once i've try to install this plugin for the first time.
The reasons why i'm giving 3 stars is because, i find it too much resource demanding. It's Heavy and slowing down all mi sites. No matter how many modules i deactivate, jsut having it installed it is a huge loading page speed decrease. I'm currently keeping active 8 modules.
Now, i suppose JT team believe that once you install it, you shouldn't need any other additional pluging. Why ? Otherwise, a solution to make it less heavy ( not bloating your site ) would have been found in about 1 year.
Maybe taking in consideration the installation of each module remotely, separated might improve it...
Is indeed cool the idea the 1 plugin solution, but you can't pretend to cover all the needs of a user adding some great modules, between some other which are below the average, just show a big cake, where just few slices are the good one to eat. I hope this last analogy make sense in the end.
Then, To have a few modules which i really do love love to have, i must bloat my site, and slow it down till the point that a user leave my site ? I don't find it a big deal. No to mention that that google take loading page speed as PR factor.
I'm running a VPS, 6 VCores, on Debian, 8 Gigabites RAM, don't tell me is not enough. because once JP is uninstalled i gain amazing loading speed, and i said it all now.
Good luck for the future. I found 3 stars more than generous, for not minding such important matter and didn't found a solution for over a year.
It works just as expected for me!
