J Shortcodes plugin offers collection of useful shortcodes to compliment and enrich any wordpress theme, blog and website.
By far this is the best plug in to have! It's so easy to work with-even if you are a beginner like me, you can figure it out. I enjoy it and can't wait to see what's coming next!
I was a bit surprised when I inspected the code generated by this plugin.
I needed to have 3 columns, well not hard to set up with j shortcodes, but the result in HTML code is rather outdated.
I obtain a table structure, and even the spaces between columns are made with TD, 7 TD for 3 columns and 4 spaces between them (why 4 and not 2... mistery).
What about using DIVs and CSS?
Covers a lot of ground. I have some minor problems but they have more to do with my theme than the plugin. The only shortcoming of any plugin that modifies the appearance of your content is that the author(s) don't provide a method or documentation to adjust styling. Still, really the best plugin of its type.
Very good plugin to design post with cool stuff.
I love it, adds so much more appeal to my site - hell even I like clicking around my own site looking at all the cool things it does lol.
As far as a previous post saying it's not supported in the modern WordPress? You may want someone to look at all your plugins and code because I have the lastest too and I have no issues at all.. Check your site real well my friend, there has to be a reason :)
Works perfectly with the latest versions of WordPress. The recent update improves compatibility with other plugins. Excellent plugin.
I'm thinking this plugin is no longer supported or functioning in modern versions of WordPress? Seems to no longer do anything but inject the unformatted shortcodes into posts/pages.
This plugin is getting long in the tooth without an upgrade and, while I love the plugin, it is beginning to cause conflicts with newer plugins, or current updates to plugins with which it used to be compatible. I don't think it's been updated for at least a year and a half and its age is starting to show.
