It works, it's free, keeps threats away.

Absolutely one of the best plugin's I've installed. I used to pay a small fortune to block countries until I found this. I have no connection to the author whatsoever but I feel we need to take the time to rate good plugins well when we find them, and donate to the authors so it's worth it to them to keep the things updated.

Very compatible

First it was recommended by s friend who uses the plugin and got 6 blocks in the first 30 minutes after installing.

I haven't got this experience but I liked the multi option and the very easy to install and use.

Very compatible

Very useful.

Doesn't work. Get a free CDN instead!

(As the previous reviewer said) this plugin is of no use.
Anyhow even if it may be working on your hosting there a thing you must consider: the block doesn't prevent a server load. This means that your hosting still gets all the traffic from blocked countries.

However, a free CDN account (CloudFlare, Incapsula, etc) supports country blocking so this means that it's way better than using the plugin because the block occurs before your website gets hit (you avoid all that traffic). Also you can block bad bots and any search engines you wish (do you really need Russian and Chinese search engines making hundreds of page loads per day? Btw: Analytics doesn't show search engine traffic so we just don't know how much load the bots really put on our website. P.S. CDN will show you all this data with ability to block any abusive search bot or IP. My hosting provider says that the traffic dropped by 80%.)

I ditched the plugin and registered a free CDN account and I'm never going back to any blocking plugins. The CDN is my traffic and security manager and it does the job just perfectly.

idea is great but does not work

Hi Guys

I like the idea, I like the interface but it works 50% of times. Even IP specified in the black list would still be able to access. I have tried it extensively for days and had to deactivate it this morning as I was once again thrown out of my frontend. The other day he prevent me from accessing my backend, which is kind of annoying, I tried with 7 VPN servers from USA to Canada, through Netherlands, etc. it does not work. So I had to tweak my DB in order to gain access again.

It just does not work. Until a major upgrade, do not waste your time here.

I have no cache plugin, using WP 3.9.1, and have updated the IP database 1 billions times.

Totally shut down my website

It has been build with good intention to help people out as free.
He spent time to develop this plugin. For that reason I have to thank him.

How ever, even I use my own IP on white list. I couldn't get a access to see my finish work online.

As developer writes, it is not compatible with some cache plugin.
I think this was the for me.

Unfortunately I end up uninstalling it.

Great plugin, save your site if you don't deal with some countries

It works and its easy to use.

Great idea but poor results
By , for WP 3.9

The idea behind it is great, but for some reason it did not work on my site. I blocked the front-end and back end on a few countries, not mine of course. The cumbersome process of selecting the countries has been already highlighted so I won't repeat other comments. Long story short, I logged-out and I was blocked out of the front end. I logged in again (the back-end worked btw..) and tested it with pingdom tools, to see if it worked in different countries. All the results were negative, access denied, where it was supposed to be accessible. I deactivated the plugin and everything is available again. My vote is based on my experience, if the plugin improved I would use it. Thanks for the hard work anyway.
