Blocked country still access my site
By , for WP 4.5.3

Installed the plug in today, no visitors from my own country.
I went to the libaray and checked it: It works.
Only blocked at the front end.

BUT! After that, some-one from the Netherlands (which i did block) visited my site.
I checked his IP and its known as a hacker.

So i think here: for to use at legal restrictions it worhtfull.
But hackers still can have access to your site, at the front end.

For the legal restrictions i rate this plug in 5 starts
But for the front end, i rate this plugin, against unwanted hacking or spamming visitors, 2 stars.

Backend with custom URL not working
By , for WP 4.5.3

At the frontend all works fine but when you use a custom URL for your admin area nothing is working. Selected countries can access your backend when they know your customs URL.

Sadly didn't work. Blocked countries still accessing site.

Fresh install of WordPress 4.5.3 running Wordfence Security, Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall, WPS Hide Login, and iQ Block Country.

Blocked all countries except United States. Wordfence Live Traffic shows access by Russia, Ukraine, Italy, France, and China.

Uninstalled.

Works Perfectly

I configured it in 5 minutes and then masked myself using my VPN as someone from The Russian Federation. I was not able to access the back end page, so it does exactly what it needs, two thumbs up!

Does not work anymore
By , for WP 4.5.2

This pluggin no longer does the job.
Installed fresh 25/05/2016 and blocked China & Russian Federation, yet both are still accessing the site, re-checked the settings and everything seems to be correct, so don't waste your time with this pluggin

Works properly. Can block by countrys.
By , for WP 4.4.2

Lots of options. I like it.
The lists need to be downloaded manually, but works properly once in the server.

Works Perfectly

adjusted to 3 stars and this is important
if you are using adwords, you site will be suspended because it inteferes with googles policy. they stated that your site has to be accessed from all over the world. this plugin still works great, but it 3 days before your ads will work again.

A lot of spam sites screwed up the statistics, mostly russian and indian "visitors" flooded analytics. This plugin solved it perfectly! It's not much work at all to install it and after a day / 2 days you're problems are solved. Big Thank You to the Author.

Great!

Easy to configure. Stopped clickbots and saved our AdSense account. Wish it had shortcodes for hiding blocks of content as opposed to blocking entire page.

Worthless

This plugin didn't make a bit of difference with the brute force attacks coming on several sites; but it sure did slow every one down to a crawl. Hard to configure and it doesn't work at all.

Very unstable and potentially disastrous
By , for WP 4.4.1

EDIT: Changed to 3 stars, due to the author's quick response and the issue being that of compatibility.

Looks like this plugin may be incompatible with caching plugins!

I installed IQ Block Country on 8 of our sites yesterday, and initially it was working great - until it started randomly malfunctioning on two sites and blocking access.

Just moments ago, one of my interns notified me that she was getting a block message when visiting 2 of our sites' main pages, so I did some investigation and found the following:

- 2 of 8 of our sites started disallowing access for unblocked IPs - the same IP would work on 6 sites, yet be blocked on the other 2.
- The sites which were blocking IPs improperly were showing the message specified in options - not redirecting to the block page specified in options. Yet if a blocked IP accessed them, they would redirect to the block page.
- The sites which were improperly blocking IPs would work fine if you accessed a subdirectory (i.e. domain.com/page-title/), yet would block access to the main page.

Because of this, I immediately deactivated the plugin on all 8 sites and cleared my page cache (at which point normal operation was resumed)... I can't afford to risk this issue popping up on the other 6.

Options were the same throughout all sites, and this was absolutely not a configuration error. All 8 sites are on separate servers which are configured the exact same, so it is not a server configuration error.
This is a very obvious script malfunction.

I am glad I was alerted to this when I was, because it could have had potentially disastrous results if it had continued.

Because of this, I would strongly advise no one install this plugin until when (and if) this issue is identified and resolved - and even then I'd monitor the sites very closely.

I would have given more than one star, as the blocking feature did work, but the fact that there is such a potentially disastrous bug which may not be readily apparent makes it undeserving of anything more.
