Work just fine for backend access IP blocking.
This cost me a few hours of messing around
If anyone has the same issue, I narrowed it down to a "conflict" with WP Super Cachce -
I decided to block all countries except UK and USA (for testing) - backend and frontend.
Google real time still showed quite a few Russians on the frontend. Tested using a French IP - and it passed.
To my horror it managed to produce a 403 Forbidden HTTP code on my Mobile (wifi UK IP)
Testing - found it was only happening on non www.
This did not occur on ios / desktop
Changed settings: countries, pages etc- no good
Deactivated the plugin - no success, deleted; no joy!
Cleared cahce did the usual testing
Nothing on Google and Support forums.
Wanted to revert to a backupbuddy backup - failed!
(added a workaround in .htaccess to rewrite to www and came back to it)
Troubleshooting: htaccess no change, by plugin, according to GIT.
Changed theme ; no difference
Started deactivating plugins: found that ip2location does not play nicely with WP Super Cache. (in my case) - had a play around with the settings deleted all cache and after a few attempts - fixed.
Sorry if details are vague - sorry for the negative review- found nothing on support forums.
I installed the plugin last week and blocked all countries except mine from accessing the backend. I get attacked at least 15 times per day from countries such Ukraine, Russia, Egypt, Afghanistan, South Korea, Israel which all try to sign in and/or to find my password according to Wordfence but the IP2Location Country Blocker statistic tab always shows 0 block countries in backend.
I keep the plugin because I like the idea and I hope a new version will fix the issue.
Thank you for your attention.

Must have plugin for WordPress.
A month after emailing support, and somewhat expected - no support response.
The Plugin still fails to update the database from withing WP.
Manually uploading the updated database.bin still indicates the database is outdated O_o!
... And to top it off – Blocked Countries IP's are still gaining access to the backend… Lots of em.
Uninstalled, and tightened up the excellent Wordfence Security plugin .
Thanks for trying, maybe I'll give it another go in a month, or not. :/
I installed it on several sites and blocked all countries except USA. Still getting back-end registrations from Poland, even though both front-end and back-end settings were to block ALL countries except USA.
block multiple countries from blog and admin login page.
