It is great
But the 4.2.2 version of the above does not work
Version 4.2.2 of WordPress post editor does not work
Please fix bug for WordPress 4.2.2
The plugin do what it promise, but its options page (and plugin snippet on plugins page) is filled with unnecessary stuff and ugly stiling. Would be more professional if these things could be removed in the next updates.
This plugin works fine and does what it says it will, but be aware that it adds rather grotesque and out-of-place styling to the plugins page. Its own page is riddled with extra links to social media, a newsletter signup, ads for other plugins, and a request for linkbacks. It's very gaudy, and for this reason I uninstalled it and will use something else.
This is a great plugin, and easy to use.
Thank you for not making a big project out of this task. Some of us have modified MCE text editors and your plugin leaves my toolbar alone. Consider placing your link beneath "Tools" instead of "Settings." This is definitely a critical tool for adding html forms and whatever else you can think up to WordPress posts. You have money!
Works great, just what I was looking for.
Thank you very much.
Wow - I searched a long time for something like this, and the only other one I found was abandoned 2 years ago and doesn't work with modern versions of WP. I have a site for a bed and breakfast, with code snippets from TripAdvisor and from a web reservations site that I was not able to stick into the pages without some coding. When I found this plugin I installed it and had a shortcode made within 2 minutes that solved all my problems. Much, much easier than fooling with coding!
It does what it says and it works, but it adds an ugly overlay to the plugin on the plugins page, and insists on enabling backlinks on the plugin settings page
This is a very handy little plugin to have. Put snippets anywhere. I use it just about as much as any other plugin.
You can even nest snippets. In other words, have a snippet shortcode within a snippet shortcode.
5 stars if the editor would expand to fill available real-estate, and if it would stay put instead of going back to the snippet list when you save the snippet. (I'd rather have a 'Cancel' or 'Back to List' button.)
This would be a couple of big pluses for serious developers. I do a lot of editing and my snippets are usually pretty large. It's rather inconvenient to have to re-size the editing pane each time and re-open the snippet after testing the edits.
Thanks for this plugin!
My author of my similar plugin was stopped working on it, and updating WP to 3.9.1 made it worse.
This plugin is working as it is, thank you very much!
