Image Watermark allows you to automatically watermark images uploaded to the WordPress Media Library and bulk watermark previously uploaded images.
doesn't apply watermark to previously uploaded images
Its a good alternative.
The plugin works fine and does what has been proposed!
5-star-rating when the option to resize uploaded images is given.
Works perfect for image thumbnails, I also used it with video thumbnails plugin. 5 stars! Thanks to author
Easy to use - very handy, and saves me lots of time! Have added it to several sites.
This Plugin would get a 5 star from me if it could just do too thing.
1. Stop degrading the image when apply the
When the watermark is applied the image it changes the intensity of colour and quality of the image.
See Brown Bear photo comparison. http://cl.ly/image/3j0a311j3109
When I tested another photo the effects were not as pronounced but still apparent. http://cl.ly/image/0C2E3x0y2h40
I then tried this same test on a different WordPress install with a different theme and I had the same problem as mention above.
I also uploaded images on the website with the same sizes with and without the watermark applied:

The difference is clear. I was going to use this plugin for a photographers website. But if the plugin degrades the image we can't use it.
I mentioned this in the support forums as well:
Plugin vraiment utile, notamment pour marquer des images déjà dans la bibliothèque. Pour cela, il suffit d'aller dans "média/bibliothèque", sélectionner la ou les (ou toutes) les images, puis, dans le menu "actions groupées", sélectionner "apply watermark", et ça marche. Les nouvelles images sont automatiquement "watermarkées".
Donc, évidemment, je recommande ce plugin.
For devs :
1. Image loses transparency after processing.
2. Missing text logo option.
Funciona de manera selectiva sobre los elementos que tenga en la administración de medios... y funciona correctamente!.
