Image Cleanup will index unreferenced images. These can be leftovers from cropping and scaling images. Stop them cluttering your content folder!
Sometimes it gives an Error and you have to try over and over again, most of the time it does work though.
I would love to see a restore option because I accidently deleted an image I wanted to keep.
Does it work with Woocommerce? I wasn't brave enough to try it out...
Thanks for creating this!
It would be greater if it was clear where the moved images go to: /wp-content/uploads/imagecleanup/0
This plugin do what it says. It list all images with good overwiev and gives uptions to cleane up/delete.
Some minor flaws in options that I want but over all a good tool to clean out the garbage files.
Ran the first the index and selected files to delete. At first they wouldn't delete. Then realized that the bottom global command selection for delete doesn't work, but the top one does. Deleted 300 or so images and spot verified that there were no false positives. This IMHO is the heart and soul of the plugin. Does it accurately find unused images? Yes and very well in my test - 5 stars.
Now on to doing a larger batch for 2nd test. Deleted a bunch of portfolio posts and ran the index again. This time it didn't find any orphaned images even though I just deleted and emptied the trash for 70 or so posts that had featured images attached to them.
If I understand the FAQ properly, one must delete all the images from the index before doing a second index? What if I don't want to delete images that the theme uses from the upload directory?
For a one time scan the plugin is great. But it failed me as on-going maintenance tool if there is no way to clear the 1st index and start new again.
