This plugin made my day. I'm relying on an abandoned phpbb Bridge plugin (wp-united) which broke every single caching plugin you can think of when upgrading to 4.2 but HyperCache just works. Using just one other minifying plugin I reach a PageSpeed of 94/95 now on a webserver I set up myself, so its most likely far from optimal. Great Plugin!
I used WP Total Cache, it worked great. But I want a simpler cache plugin. So, now I use Hyper Cache.
After performing several tests, I found that Hyper Cache is sometimes faster than WP Total Cache a bit.
I prefer Hyper Cache because:
- It works
- Easy to configure
- Even default setting already works great
In this mobile age, being able to build a separate mobile cache and thus optimize page load for mobile visitors, while retaining the full desktop experience for desktop visitors, is a clear winner. Combined with a mobile theme switcher, this takes optimization efforts further ahead. Thank you!
Excelent plugin, all works pages.
Best caching plugin I have seen !
After Hyper Cache 3x update (from 2.9x) didn't work well for us, we evaluated most other Cache Plugins. In the very same setup.
Our journey ended and we RE-installed Hyper Cache 126.96.36.199, the last GOOD working version for us.
For our shared hosting setup HC 2.9x works very well, without a single problem.
I wished 3x update was not broken but we hope that it will be fixed in the near future. (upd: 3x update is ok now, most bugs are fixed)
So we will continue to use (we already do for more than 1 year) HC and it works great. It is the best for me.
I reviewed all popular cache plugins for high traffic website and finally decided to use Hyper Cache. Code is clean, caching logic is simple and it's really one modern plugin that does its job.
This plugin works and it's really fast to serve up cached pages.
Unlike WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache it doesn't make changes to your .htaccess file.
Among the usual caching plugins, this is by far the easiest and the best. WP Total Cache and WP Super Cache need way too much tinkering. Without a single beneficial thing (the minifying etc that Total Cache offers is easily available optionally in other plugins). The author of Hyper Cache is responsive, which is much appreciated. Thank you for this super solution!
Decent enough plugin. Now there are plenty of others like WP-FFPC etc that do a stellar job. No need for this. Especially when in v 3.0.0 the very useful feature of browser caching has been removed, and the plugin doesn't work with "Hyper Cache Clear Link" (which was very handy to clear cache easily).
I combined this plugin with autoptimize.
They work great together.
My page was loading in 1.8s and reloading on 0.9 seconds.
Now it loads in 1.1s and reloads in 0.3 seconds.
