Good but needs improvement
By , for WP 4.2.2

This is a very useful tool and I like that it provides the necessary back end tools to save galleries without cluttering up the plugin with advanced rendering options. However, you would expect a tool like that to make it easy for you to create your own rendering functions but annoyingly the array returned by the function ht_gallery_get_gallery() doesn't provide simple stuff like the URL or description of the images, so you have to get them manually. Please consider adding these for convenience in future versions; then it will be perfect.

Could be better
By , for WP 3.9.1

The idea itself is not bad, just this plugin does not give any theme/function options, which is essential for that kind of plugin.

1. Shortcode for gallery
2. Easy to use

1. Only one gallery theme(if there's more - then i couldn't find it, checked all of the plugin options) - which technically is more like slider, not really a gallery. I saw option to "buy" more of those themes, but to even consider such thing i need to have something to start from.
2. Pretty much useless if you are looking for "classic type of gallery".

Delete text in the slider..

Dear Richard,

Your plugin is great, but one thing.. how can I delete the text in the slider or gallery?

Thank you in advance!

Well-written, reliable plugin that can handle tens of thousands of images
By , for WP 3.8.1

Very happy with this plugin, in particular its use of core/standard WordPress features such as custom post types and the media uploader as well as functions. Please continue this it's vital.

This plugin is able to handle thousands of galleries and tens of thousands of images with ease.

One issue that I hope is fixed in future is that it's possible to accidentally delete all your images when uploading images to a new gallery. I'm not sure if this is the plugins fault. It happens when the media uploader window is active and you accidentally click on an image and all of your other images become unchecked.

Give It A Try
