Lets you embed PDF, MS Office, and many other file types in a web page using the free Google Docs Viewer (no Flash or PDF browser plug-ins required).
This is the best of the best plugin that I have ever used for PowerPoint Presentation into my website.
Getting an error when trying to embed a pdf:
"You've reached the bandwidth limit for viewing or downloading files that aren't in Google Docs format..."
Not sure why... It says files around 8MB to 12MB aren't supported, but this file is only 68KB. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Should I take the pdf and recreate it in Google docs, or is there something I else I can do to allow the pdf to show regardless of the bandwidth limit?
Does not work
I tried it and on two browsers it does to work. Only has a link to the pdf. Thats it. Why?
GDE is the best product in its class. However it depends on Google API which is poor and does not work usually :-( It would be great if author of this product can give some alternative how to avoid Google errors...
Great plugin.. got me out of a bind. Thanks
Thank you for this plugin !
After searching high and low for something to embed pdf's I found this and it's simple and amazing!
I teach college history and have my own site. I'm always looking for a way to share files efficiently with students and show things in class - this is great! Hats off and deep bows
PS: If you ever develop a way to show/play Keynote presentations from a website without a Mac or iPad hooked up to anything, I'd pay big bucks!! (ok, big bucks in community college instructor terms, but still...) ;-)
The plugin works well, great for embedding PDF's.
