Solid!
By , for WP 4.2.2

I'm new to WP, but this plug-in was pretty straight forward. Tech support was AWESOME! I'm up in running.

Wish we could have some colors other than black and grey, but then again that could be something I'm doing wrong.

I was looking for a simple calendar plug-in and this fit the bill quite nicely!

Up to date and functional

Very happy with the plugin and especially the quick workaround for a problem i got from the forum.

why it is called "google calendar"?
By ,

This calendar events plugin has nothing with your google account by default! I do not know if you can link to your google account if you specify your own API key; If this is true, i do not know why the author did not give an option for you to link your google accout by simply filling in your google account information. You can neither input your google events, nor link this to your google calendar. i really do not understand why it is called "google calendar".

Setup an event is horribly complex. you are facing a long "text-only" code (like operating MS-DOS 20 years ago). you have to input everything including time. Why some basic event elements including time, date, etc. were not designed as something like buttons, drop-down menus, or fill-in blanks?

Great work

Great plugin with excellent support

This plugin provides is a fantastic solution for displaying Google calendars - and is backed up by an excellent support team.

We needed to integrate 15 different calenders into our website and it's managed that perfectly.

Solid, very usable, easily styled!

This plugin is very flexible, giving you a lot of options for displaying the events feed (and many choices of where to place it: sidebar widget, on a post or page using a shortcode, or just use the dedicated page it generates for the feed). It's also painless to use—I'd have no qualms passing on a WordPress install with this plugin on to a non-technical person, if they're able to manage WordPress itself.

This plugin accesses the Calendar feed server-side and caches all of that data locally (configurable cache expiration). The various display options give you plenty of choice how to display the information: calendar grid? Agenda-style list of events? Daily listing? How many events in the list, or how far into the past or future should it load by default?

The event builder is a nice touch: you can manually specify what information about an event is listed and how it's presented (on hover in the calendar grid, or directly in an agenda/list-style display). One nice addition here would be to allow the end date to display conditionally that it's not equal to the start date (otherwise display only the time). But it's not necessary to use that if the generation options are enough.

It was also very easy to customise the styling of the display to fit our theme/website design. Good, useful CSS classes, just the right amount of detail to specify custom CSS without having to hack one's way around selectors. Mind you, I used the custom CSS box in our theme, I don't know how easy it is to insert custom CSS without editing the plugin's or theme's CSS (or creating a child theme) if the theme doesn't have this kind of option, so perhaps an input in the options to add custom CSS would be a nice touch?

One very small feature we would have liked would be a way of generating an "Add to Google Calendar" link for the entire feed (or combination of feeds), so that users could add our calendar to their "Other Calendars" list on their GCal page. It was easy to work around for us (added a text widget in the sidebar right after the calendar + some CSS to make them look like a single widget; in pages, just added a link following the shortcode), but it would be a convenient options in GCE.

Excellent work

Great complementary plug-in for Google Calendar
By , for WP 4.1.1

I was nervous to use a free plug-in to automate our webinars using google calendar. However, the fantastic ratings for the plug-in gave me a lot of assurance.
Setting up was a breeze and the number of configurations along with professional documentation increased my confidence further.
Finally when I posted a question on the support forum, I got a response very quickly and helped solve my need perfectly.
I couldn't have asked for more from a plug-in. Definitely endorse the plug-in and the support behind it!

Excellent solution for displaying a google calendar on your website

A little bit complicated to set up but the instructions are clear. It would be nice if the appearance was customizeable without resorting to custom css. But functionally it's great.
