Widget and shortcode to display top content according to Google Analytics. ("Google Analytics by Yoast" plugin required)
The Google Analytics Top Posts Widget is still the best plugin of its kind, and we're proud to host on our website. The widget can be seen in action on the following page:
Thanks to Justin for the outstanding support.
PS. After the recent upgrade of the plugin (1.6.1 in May 2015) which now uses Google Analytics Dashboard by Yoast instead of the older Google Analytics Dashboard, some changes to the coding were required to get the page views working again.
Your fast response with the coding update kept our website 100% functional, and I'm pleased to re-confirm that The Google Analytics Top Posts Widget is still the best plugin of its kind.
Been searching for a plugin that uses GA data to present posts, and this one does the trick. Great using shortcode to embed in posts or pages.
Only thing I miss is a bit nicer presentation, like having thumbnails of the articles. But other than that, really good plugin that doesn't seem to slow down the site at all!
Once I figured out how to configure it, it worked like a charm.
Love this plugin. Exactly what I was looking for.
This plugin counts pageview according to your Google analytics account.
Since all the other plugins count pageview after the plugin installed, they don't really show visitors the real popular posts unless you installed the plugin right after you start the blog or website.
Anyway, this plugin works flawlessly if you read the instructions and follow as it mentioned. The developer is very helpful and I am so happy with this plugin!
We tried using some other plugins for our wordpress site to generate the top posts, but since we receive a lot of traffic, they slowed down our website significantly. This plugin is simple and uses the Google Analytics to not bog down your own server when finding the top content on your site.
