I made t he mistake of connecting plugin to wrong account and now no wa to correct it - deleting plugin didnt change it
Going to look in DB for settings to delete
Google is moving everyone to Universal Analytics and UA has supported demographics for months, but this plugin still does not. It even goes so far as to say UA does not support demographics. I have remove the plugin from all my client sites so I we can take advantage of this dem functionality.
Useful plugin, but Google Universal Analytics wasn't correctly adding the line below to my site, for logged-in admins:
ga('set', 'dimensionX', 'admin');
Without this line it is impossible to exclude traffic for logged-in admins (I played with the plugin settings but couldn't fix it).
To fix this, I changed line 1190 in google-analyticator.php:
FROM:: get_option(key_ga_admin) == 'admin'
TO:: get_option(key_ga_admin) == ga_disabled
This matches the functionality of the old Google Analytics and works correctly on my site for logged in admins/not.
Unfortunately, using this plugin with Twenty Fourteen, the Bounce Rate is not tracking at all both in the dashboard summary or in the actual google analytics UI.
Before installing this plugin, I had no problems accessing the Bounce Rate stats in google analytics UI, which leads me to believe it could be related to how the Google UA code is enabled on my site through your plugin.
Please advise if there is anything you can do to fix this?
All our web properties have been converted to "Universal Analytics".
We've been using Google Analyticator on all of them and choosing UA makes no difference in the code that's inserted in the pages.
We still get the OLD analytics code - even though we've chosen UA,
I like the plugin but it gets a low rating from me because of two things:
1. It slows down my WP installation
2. It is impossible to localize in any standardized manner
But it's clearly been bought out by another company, who have plastered annoying ads all over it and don't seem to be that bothered about resolving support issues.
Time to move on, I think.
