I thought to install it and after installing, I saw paid version and some bad reviews, so no to it!
I want 100% free plugin, not with paid features.
Easy to configure, works like a dream. Keeps the icons on the viewport but not in the way of the content.
So what if I get bombarded with Ads in the admin panel. Isn't that the norm for using free software nowadays.
I was actually logging in to uninstall the plugin and leave a 1 star review. At the time I HATED the annoying fluorescent green part in the admin that was just stupid. Did not like anything highlighted and it was a distraction. Customers thought it meant something needed to be done. The latest release turned this off.
The other part that was beyond annoying was the relentless ads. I have now learned how to turn them off and we will see how that goes.
For now I am giving it a 3 star rating and saying the verdict is still out on this one. If I have more problems I will just uninstall and move on.
Another thing is I really wouldn't mind supporting it, but they put this strange "clause" that says, "Price until next version release". Okay, how the heck do we know when the "next version" is released. Most other things like this would "include upgrades for 1 year" or something to let the buyer know what they are buying.
The final part that is a pain is whatever you do, do NOT go to their website. After a few seconds the livehelp pops up, which is fine, but then they have an annoying phone ringing! I'm just not a big fan of websites that make annoying noises when I go to them. The pop up is fine, but turn off the sound in case I am in an office setting, on a phone call myself or some place that the ring is evasive.
Great plugin works excellently.. expertly coded. However, the nag ads are HUGE in the back end. Too much for my taste. If you don't mind gigantic "buy now" ads in your back end then this plug-in will suit your needs for social media implementation.
Bright green menu item background a bit offputting. Can hide the worst of it with some digging through the settings, but would be better if this was the default, and the icon remains a non-uniform colour in the menu which irks. Otherwise easy to set up. Drag-and-drop reordering is nice. Many icon sets to choose from, though most have white backgrounds or fragments of white backgrounds. Would be nice to be able to add own icons or override current links via CSS as available icons grow out-of-date.
This really easy to use, but I'm considering stopping using it for a couple of reasons:
First, the advertising in the administrative area is overly conspicuous to the point of obnoxious. I like the sleek gray interface of the WP admin area. This plugin sticks out like a sore festering thumb on the plugins page. If every plugin did this, the plugins area would be an ad jungle - something I don't need or want in a place that should be calm and easy to navigate.
Second, images used are 64 pixels regardless of whether they display at 32 pixels or smaller, meaning icon download bandwidth is larger than it needs to be.
