Awesome plugin for fetching posts from other blog
By , for WP 3.5.2

Awesome plugin and easy to use, i just installed it and give it a link of other blog and fetch all posts in few seconds. Thanks to author

I like it!

Minor glitch happened 05-04-2013. It's working good now. Looked at some other rss aggregator's and realized how simple Feedwordpress is to setup. I'm feeding my blog http://www.edwardmovius.name with 19 feeds from my favorite blogs. My site seems a bit sluggish. Don't know if that has anything to do with this plugin, but it beats the heck out of copying and pasting posts.

Don't upgrade!

Version 2013.0502 of this plugin appears to be broken. It fails looking for /externals/myphp/myphp.class.php in /feedwordpress.php on line 105.

The old version was working beautifully.

Works great- quick setup!

Works great. Pulled my content from another blog in as soon as I added feed url, and clicked Update.

This is it!

I cannot vouch for stability under load etc .. since I just installed it.

But man! It's well thought out, totally flexible and very well executed :)

Powerful and flexible

This tool has easy to understand functions, settings and interfaces. All of the compatibility issues that I encountered had nothing to do with the plugin. Outstanding.

Works As Advertised!

Absolute fantastic plugin. Though you need to know how to set it up properly. Crappy hosts like GoDaddy need to be avoided for best results, as cpu resources can be heavy if your pulling many feeds. I recommend a cron job say every 20 minutes to call it up.

To add a permalink back to your feed source this plugin is suggested: http://projects.radgeek.com/add-attribution-feedwordpress/

Almost flawless syndication

Feature-rich and easy to configure, it finds all feeds automatically and very neatly deals with them — and adds plenty of configuration options for each individual feed. Loads images, authors, etc. all automatically, while still making sure that proper attribution is maintained (e.g. the feeds can be configured so that an excerpt shows on the aggregation site, but the link for reading more correctly forwards to the original site). It does pretty much everything expected of a syndication aggregator.

It also allows extra plugins to be created to work with FeedWordPress, thus allowing extra functionality to be further developed without needing to "hack" the original plugin.

My only issue is with duplicates. While FeedWordPress tries to do an awesome work to locate and eliminate duplicates, it's not 100% perfect (but perhaps 98-99% perfect). Sometimes a few articles get duplicated, specially when feeds change or are very slow in loading (thus, FeedWordPress might not be to blame).

Besides that, this is a quite welcome plugin!

This is a great plugin that allowed us to consume a Canadian Press RSS XML file sent to our server. Within the file are links to images. We had to do coding on our WordPress site index (home), page, and template files to display the feed the way we wanted it to be seen, but FWP gave us the tools to grab the data we needed from our XML file. The chosen tags showed up in custom fields. The admin interface and options panel for this plugin is very good. We've had a few issues with WordPress 3.5 but I feel confident these will be fixed. This plugin deserves a donation if you can make it. Anyone interested in consuming Canadian Press newsfeeds can contact me.

Good Work

Works well. I recommend the plugin to all.

But I get some issues related to tables. I get database error notifications in the screen related to wp_posts table when I update the feeds manually.

But still it deserves 5 stars.
