Could you check this plugin
It has worked great but since WordPress 4.2.3 it doesn't seem to be working.

Perfect, just what I needed - thank you. Be sure to hit SHIFT RELOAD to clear your cache after installing - worked like a charm. Thanks!

Awesome plugin, something needed years ago!

This is a great little plugin, especially for those not comfortable editing code. I can easily refer my clients to this plugin without having to help hold their hands. I added a link to you guys in my blog post: [Link redacted]

Easy and effective

The directions on the plugin settings page are clear and shows you how to update the default WordPress media sizes for Thumbnail, Medium and Large images. And then directs you to a plugin to regenerate thumbails which was also super easy.

This helped me add images to wordpress.org rss feed so they would show up in Mailchimp's rss campaign email template. Thanks!

Solved my issue! THANK YOU!

Easy Way to Get WP Featured Image into MailChimp's RSS to Email
By , for WP 4.2.2

Very easy to use.
I had been searching for a long time for a way to get the Featured Image from WP blog posts to appear in MaiChimps RSS to Email option.

I searched MailChimp and Google. Finally I found this plug in. Now MailChimp just instantly has the image.

I did not need to switch to the full content option in MailChimp, although I did briefly. The excerpt option displays the image as well which created a duplicate. So I removed the full content MailChimp shortcode.

Plus there is a support thread about how to make the image responsive.

Very helpful.

Thank you and next time your in AZ I owe ya a beer.

Works like a charm!

Just turn it on and it works. One thing I did do is edit the output code so that the images would be responsive. I added: width:100%; max-width:100%; height:auto; -- that way in emails that are two narrow or responsive emails, the images automatically resize.

Love this plugin

I've been looking for an easy way to add a featured image to my RSS-to-email, while sending only a summary of the post. This worked.

I did find the image size options a little confusing. In the drop down, it displayed more choices than small, medium, and large, and didn't really explain what the others were.

Plus, I was concerned about changing any of the sizes and then using Regenerate Thumbnails for fear that it would goof the images in my theme. And considering that regeneration is a one-way-trip and can't be undone, perhaps a warning to that effect is warranted.

I ended up doing the large setting, which by default is 1024 square. My images are not that big, but too big for the medium setting, so it made them full bleed on the email template, which worked fine.

I really liked the choices of how to position the image.

The fact that it works with only the post summary is a huge bonus.

Thanks for making the plugin Rob!

Great support

Downloaded and activated this into wp 4.2.2 with twentytwelve theme. The plugin works okay and the support from the author has been fantastic but I've had problems using the Feedly mobile app and Feedly browser to view the RSS feed.

Feedly provides a feed overview in a "cards" or "magazine" style format and the featured images were not appearing in the overview, or appearing a long time after the post. Also, because of the way Feedly works, the plugin's image size or image position options had no effect so I was unable to assess these, apart from wondering why there wasn't a "full" option or what "post-thumbnail" was under the image size setting!
