Awesome plugin and the author is on the top of it (excellent communication skills and very helpful).
Installed and got it to work instantly. Perfect (and it does have a read more link thank you!)
Extremely easy to set up and can be used for both Pages and Posts.
Make sure you read the FAQ - there are links to code snippets you can cut/paste to your functions.php file to almost everything about the plugin - even adding your own template.

I have been using this for some time and couldn't manage without it. My website has no posts, users, or other regular 'blog' features, just pages. So being able to feature a particular page in any widget area is a great resource.
After the plugin update to version 2.0 I did have trouble with using Feature A Page widgets within Site Origin's PageBuilder plugin. The problem was quickly resolved and as of version 2.0.1 it works great.
"Feature A Page Widget" is also compatible with Widget Customizer, if anyone was wondering.
Good start....but it really needs a read more link.
Also, a way other than css to hide the Widget Title. I often use this just to help organize the widgets and I'd rather have the title that displays be the page name....or a custom DISPLAY title.
The page title and the thumbnail use the same a tag. I've seen goofy things happen when this is done. I prefer separate tags. If I want mouse over effects to effect both at the same time that can be done with css.
Perfect, this is excellent for people who code and build templates! 100% functional, easy to customize (love the ability to overwrite the output template), no annoying pre-designed output.
Is there actually a way to add custom layout options? I would appreciate this plus the "read more" thing. However, 5 stars already ;-)
I've always found this plugin ever so useful, given that so many homepages use a design pattern in which small 'featured content' areas lead you to other landing pages on the website. It's especially helpful that you're able to modify the plugin's output non destructively by placing a copy of FPW's template folder in your own theme and changing the code on the copied template.
Exactly what I was looking for...
Simple and works :)
This plugin is easy to use and looks good on the sidebar. I am looking forward to seeing more features on the next version
