Had some issues working with the free version, the pro is just lovely. Works like magic.
I was looking for good gallery plugin for a while, and to me the Gallery Manager turned out to be the best one.
I like it for:
- Fullscreen pictures display with swipe option
- Mobile devices compatibility
- Ease of use
I use it on all my sites.
It's nice to use a plugin which is simple to use but displays an elegance.
Crisp and clean output making my images stand out is the all that I needed and this plugin gives that with a few extra option I didn't know I needed/wanted.
The best Gallery for managing images.
The most important is the support, which is excellent! I posted an issue (on Saturday) in the support section of the plugin, and in a few hours the problem has been fixed.
I am very happy I found this plugin, and it has become a standard on the websites I manage. It works every time, never had any negative interactions with a theme or other plugin. After trying/using a bunch of other lightbox and gallery plugins, Gallery Manager is now my go-to choice!
Since the latest update (Fancy Gallery is now Gallery Manager) I had some issues with the new version. I contacted the developer and he solved every issue within one day.
Solid gallery plug-in with great support!
I do a lot of websites for photographers and this is my go to photo gallery plugin!
Most options are not available in the free version of this plugin, but the free version gets you a basic gallery (see UPDATED info below).
The gallery does not loop (this simple feature is only available in PRO version) - when the viewer gets to the end of the gallery, the gallery closes instead of going back to the beginning, which is annoying. Most of my galleries (for an artist client) have only two images - showing two different views of a work of art, so it would be nice for the viewer to be able to leave the cursor on one side of the screen to move between images (true, the thumbnails at the bottom can be clicked, but still requires moving the cursor and taking the eye off the image).
If there a lot of images to be used in the Media Library, and they're not grouped together as they will appear in various galleries, it will be difficult to select them. Only 20 images at a time appears under the "Import from Media Library" option.
If a gallery is to appear in excerpt, the only option is for random images to appear. It would nice to be able to select the most representative image(s) to appear in the excerpt, or to select first 3 images, or something similar.
UPDATED review and DOWNGRADED from 3 stars to 1 star:
2 more issues:
Image CAPTION appears under the thumbnail, but image TITLE appears on the pop-up image. This is quite inconsistent programming, and thus requires entering the same date twice to provide the same information on both thumbnail and pop-up
Watermarks. I use "Easy Watermark" plugin. Fancy Gallery plugin removes the watermarks. Why? When I deleted and re-added Fancy Gallery plugin, the watermark appeared on the pop-up image, but not on the thumbnail. ??
It is easy to import all of images to the gallery.. then put simple short code to other page to show gallery.. That is easy!!!
