I used to really like this plugin because it worked well and better than most other Facebook plugins, plus it was nice having Facebook officially support and release this plugin.
Although it is nice to use an officially supported plugin, Jetpack does a way better job at posting to Facebook pages and such, this plugin is probably more suited for developers now, nothing wrong with that, but i do wish it had 'authenticate' buttons and stuff like most plugins do now days.
After updating to WP4, . . its not posting to FB anymore. And last activity does not show ...some delay maybe.
code for like and comment boxes. So why bother with the app?
FB's "documentation" describes things the plugin (apparently) can do, with no explanation of how to actually set those things up. Plus they change their UI and APIs so often any information you find on the Internet that's more than a few months old is out of date. Extremely frustrating experience, never was able to get social publisher to work
There is no way to set a fluid percentage-based width on the Facebook Like Box widget. You must set a fixed width in pixels, and the minimum width allowed is 292. If your sidebar gets smaller than that (like on an iPad or other tablet) the widget will break your layout. And if your sidebar expands (like on a smartphone in single-column layout) the widget will not fill the space.
I do have this plugin working on all fronts.
I installed it about a year ago.
The documentation was AWFUL, dreadful, frustrating. Missing 10's of steps in how to install and get it working. For a multi-billion dollar company, they should take more pride in their work.
The plugin should allow both wordpress and facebook comment systems to work simultaneously. It doesn't. Facebook wants everything to itself.
I have posted a couple of times to the support asking how to do this, with no responses.
The part that does work - sharing, posting to Facebook, like, share buttons, recommended posts, works great! The comment system works well too, but again, Facebook wants it all and prevents you from having both comment systems working at the same time.
1. the comment box width is not suitable for responsive design, unable to set as 100% fluid
2. when i click like or share, the box doesnt display correctly
3. the recommendation bar works fine
4. unable to adjust the like box button margin to the post
As many of these other reviews are noting, this plugin is broken with WP 3.9.1 . I have to say I expected better from Facebook given that the developers responsible for maintaining this plugin probably make six-figure salaries, and because Facebook has historically been a PHP shop (one would assume they have plenty of competent PHP devs there).
don't working stability
