Have had it running on other blogs. When it works, it works. When it doesn't, it's like pulling teeth to get any support out of the Facebook developers. The FAQ has a vague maybe of how to fix the problem, with no details. it shouldn't take an advanced Comp Sci degree to get a plugin working.
Configured my Facebook app, plugged in the codes, and it worked in less than 10 min.
That's it, i am now abandoning Facebook plugin. The layout is buggy, it isn't compatible with other extremely common plugins like Jetpack, it cant produce functioning links when sharing, and the authors doesn't seem to care at all about answering support questions in any serious matter. My advice to you all, skip the "like" button all together, it isn't that important now days anyway. Use the "Jetpack" plugin for sharing buttons, it is MUCH better and includes a lot more social medias.
Works fine. Does what needs to be done. :)
Could be 'hard' if you can't create a facebook app hehe.
First of all, dispite the difficulty I've experienced for about a week trying to set this plugin up, I still believe the programmer have tried its best in making this plugin useful for wordpress users.
So I hope with these input, the plugin can even be better useful to unskill users like myself in the future. I found this plugin not user friendly and very much difficult to set up, especially with setting up the open graph part which I found it to technical for normal user to use.
Whole afternoon spent in trying to make it work...ended up with nothing, uninstalled plugin. No explanation provided for begginers, if explanation found, it's related to a old FB user interface, not existing anymore. Facebook plugin developpers didn't show off...
I'll use Wordbooker instead, much better than this one (used it before).
This could be a great plugin, but it doesn't seem to be geared toward bloggers. Also, it lacks clear instructions as if it were thrown together in a slap-dash manner. That it forces one to use a personal Facebook profile instead of one's Facebook business place makes it much less useful than it could be.
I thought wordpress and its plugins were supposed to make things easy. I hope you've got hours/days of time free to set this plugin up, only to be disappointed with the results.
Within an hour i had a blog post entered on website automatically populated on facebook page. This is a cool plugin. thanks guys
