Reduce file sizes for images in WordPress including NextGEN, GRAND FlAGallery and more using lossless/lossy methods and image format conversion.
Works perfect... is an understatement.
With bulk action on uploads folder, or automattically on each upload... It just works!
Within a few seconds after installation, one click of a button and every image on my site began optimizing. Simple, time-saving, safe, and makes a major difference on your site.
A great plugin ! A must have to improve the performance of your site !
I use this plugin on nearly every website I build. The plugin has grown a lot and there are a lot of features I don't use, but overall it does a solid job.
It saved lots of my times in optimizing all images at one click on the button.
Google Page Speed results proved it works for all my 15 websites!
Thank you so much for such brilliant work!
Reduced already optimized image sizes down almost 70%.
What else needs to be said?
Large unoptimized images have been one of the culprits of slow and badly performing websites. Not anymore! Thanks to this simple, transparent and fast plugin, website developers are one click away from having all images losslessly crunched down to a fraction of the original size, dramatically speeding up load times and without the hassle of having to manually optimize them individually.
As a WordPress web developer it allowed me to stop worrying about my customers uploading 12MP humongous images. They will continue to do it no matter how many times I'll disencoruage them, but with this plugin the impact on their visit experience will be far smaller.
Also, the free version (alas not needing off-site cloud services for compression) worked in many a dire host, where other plugins failed lacking enough memory to operate. It can even be configured to convert to WebP with a JPG/PNG fallback on unsupported browsers, how awesome is that?
EWWW is now part of my essential plugins list I install on any fresh WP installation regardless of their end.
The only thing this plugins need to be complete is to turn on support for SVG with an autogenerated PNG fallback for older MSIE. That would make it the definitive beast for optimisation freaks like myself.
PS: I'm not related to the developers whatsoever, I just love this plugin and had to get this off my chest. :)
Nothing bad to say
Great for image optimization.
