Do not purchase the pro version if you are thinking about develop a custom gateway.
The "Custom Gateway API for Developers" is not documented at all, they just tell you to look into the default gateways code as an example.
My site had an early version of this plugin installed which had a vulnerability and resulted in all of my websites being infected with malware, which resulted in my sites being flagged as dangerous by Google and all web browsers.
I created number of recurring events. After many users registered, we decided to change the last date. New events were added, but surprise! All registrations are deleted. The plugin removes all events and registrations and adds new events.
On another website, we payed for premium license in order to get the payment API. It has zero documentation.
If it works this app might be great but if it does not and you ask for support they just close support request without resolving the issue
I'm using events Manager now for 1 year plus and all works fine. I bought pro addon also and everything was fine but last week WordPress told me about the new update. Since that Moment the plugin is not able to edit or create recurring events on sunday only.
I offer diving courses and the day for the lessons is only on sunday...
Opened a support Ticket in pro Support forum 8 days ago and until now the Ticket is still Open and no reaction or fix to see...
You buy pro, you Pay pro, you have pro Support Forums, but what you get is.... Not pro, or better no Support...
Very dissapointed about that...
You can't send email notifications to attendees. This has been a problem ever since I paid for Events Manager Pro in 2012. Paid for another year of "premium support"-- still no movement on this issue. I would think sending confirmation and reminder emails to attendees would be a must-have feature. My customer requires the registration and payment for multiple attendees. The person registering the attendees does not attend the event. My team is extremely disappointed with Events Manager and Events Manager Pro due to the wasted time and effort trying to get email notifications to attendees. If you don't need to communicate with your attendees or only need to sell one event spot at a time (to users only), this plugin does work, but is bloated and cumbersome to set up.
more than 300 entries in wp_options, different shortcuts for wp_options and uninstall leaves the records in the database are unacceptable
Using WP 3.8.1 with default twentyfourteen theme
Set up the standard 'out of the box' install, added 1 event, then within 5 mins all got a 500 error across all sites on the dev server - not too promising
ssh'd in restarted -> fell over again,
removed plugin, restarted -> hasn't fallen over yet...
Draw your own conclusions
This Plugin is crap. Ambiguous Code. You'll be lost if you try to fetch location, events. Some time location come with event some time doesn't.
My Boss and Client is shouting me after using this. Hell Plugin.
Had to remove via FTP. Seems a shame.
