Create and maintain events, including complex reoccurring patterns, venue management (with Google maps), calendars and customisable event lists
Before switching to Event organiser I've tried number of other event plugins. While there are one or two other competitive plugins, I believe that event organiser is probably the best of all, at least for now. Very well documented, easy to handle templates. Worked out of the box especially when I had to change the previous events plugin in a day, on which my site was built. The only thing I had to add is extra code for schema.org events. Although there is markup for microdata in the plugin, Google didn't recognise properly some of the event tags like for example the start date. After making the changes now all the errors are gone. But apart from that I haven't had a single problem.
Thank you for sharing it with us!
This is a really great plugin; it operates intuitively and gives visitors to your website many ways of viewing what's coming up on your calendar. I especially like the shortcode customizations - let's me display specific things for different pages. Fabuloso!
All category links lead to a "Nothing found" page :(
Also, please don't disable page template widget on edit event - I want to use a particular page template for my events (full width) but I can't.
Otherwise, it's a great plugin!
Thanks for the plugin, great work. I have been able to adjust the formatting and got it working nicely.
Robust functionality, well-coded, thoughtfully commented, and superb support. The more I dive into it, the more I discover it can do. I looked around at a lot of calendar plugins, and, taking into account the breadth of functionality, the ease of customization, and the plugin's stability, Event Organiser wins hands down.
This is not a review, but a note. This was a review but I can't delete it so I'm changing the content of the message
The two plugins (this + Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu) have a conflict.
Trying to edit venues caused WordPress to crash. I couldn't track down the problem, as it gets too deep into the internals of WordPress. For now I'll live without Ozh, as Event Organiser is more important to the site.
I'm looking forward to setting up Event Organiser. The work I've done so far shows it's got great potential, and will site my needs very well.
So many nice features, nice and easy to use. Bonus: unlike another popular similar plugin, it doesn't obnoxiously auto-create a bunch of Pages without warning. :)
I like having fine-grained control, and the many options via shortcodes are excellent.
Great plugin, I'd recommend it to anyone.
It took a while to adjust own templates, but functionality of this plugin is thrilling. Rock stable, pretty coded, perfectly documented.
Adpaté et adaptable.
Support effiace et sympa.
Excellent plugin pour la gestion d'un agenda complexe !
