I installed this plugin and it worked as advertised. I moved forward with it and bought a personal license. After that license expires you can no longer see the user forums. The free documentation sucks! You will not be able to make any customizations without use of the support forums. Who wants to pay $100 just to get some trivial answer to problems like "how do I change the text that says register on the submit button to instead read purchase". Ohh and any plugin upgrades you make will wipe those changes out.
Currently my plugin is throwing an error message. You can see that someone has responded on the forum to a user with my exact problem. However you cannot see the solution without paying another $100. It really irritates the hell out of me. Therefore I recommend that you should not move forward with this plugin unless you are fine with paying each year to read forums.
I purchased the paid version of this plugin for a clients project. I took a gamble buying this plugin and it was worth every penny. I found the software to be well though out and easy to use.
I had to contact support after I launched the site since the url changed, that had my concern resolved in a matter of minutes from my forum post.
I am an advanced user/developer and don't read instructions or look for help until I break it lol... Since the software installed, configured, and tested without any problems on the first try, I have no complaints at all.

I've been using Event Espresso for a couple of years and it just keeps getting better and better! Now that it integrates with our Infusionsoft account, it's made my life so much easier. I'm not a technical person but between the forum and their support system, I'm able to make all the changes I need. We're a small company and don't have the resources to have high end tools. This plugin gives me so much flexibility without the high price tag. I also appreciate how they're always working on the tool to keep improving it. Love it!
I have used this on a few themes for a customer who has a new events listings site. mainly through my old lack of knowledge (not any fault with the software) I needed some support. These guys always come back quickly and effectively. within a few hours. That's really rare in today's digital software world!

I just recently purchased the Personal License and I had some issues with the install. I sent an email with my concerns and received a response within hours. It was an unusual situation and they offered to do the install for me - without charging me. I was incredibly impressed by that. I had another issue where I put the site license key on the wrong website - I wrote them and explained what I had done - it was my error - and in less than an an hour they responded to me and reset the site license for no additional charge. I expected to be charged in both situations and was pleasantly surprised with their responsiveness and generosity in helping me out. Service is everything! Well done Event Espresso!
While trying to set up a new site to handle event registrations and payments I tested a few other potential plugins before this one. It was such a relief to find that this one worked intuitively, was easy to set up and works with minimal effort. It also looks good in my theme with zero CSS alterations. Thanks for making my life easier!
I freakin' love this plugin. I did a test drive of the lite version along with 6 other event registration plugins (some free, some premium). EE stood out as the clear winner of the freebies. So i invested in the premium version. Worth every penny! It does things I never even thought to inquire about - things that save me precious time, like talking to my membership plugin. Score!
I especially appreciated the "Known Plugin Conflicts" list. That saved me a ton of time. Why don't more plugins provide that info?
For the haters who are trashing this plugin, let me just say... free hosting? Really?? You get what you pay for. If you truly care about your business or cause, invest a few bucks in a REAL hosting plan. If you're living in "borrowed" space you have no control. The problem is your hosting, not EE.
We have spent a lot of $ and a lot of time trying to do exactly what this plugin does for $90... It would have paid for itself in 2 hours of work. I wish I would have found it faster!

I've been using Event Espresso for almost two years now. It is the best event management and registration tool I have found...and I've tried many that were much much more expensive.
I love the fact that users don't have to leave my website to register and everything I need is right in the WordPress CMS. I have monthly events and I have never had one complaint or question about registering.
Thanks for the great plugin. I wouldn't dream of using anything else for my events.
