An accessible Shopping Cart plugin.
Once was a good product, but little has improved in several years. Plus the fact that the support is atrocious. [Comments moderated] Be warned.
i really apologize for what happened...thanks for getting back to me on this...i have changed the ratings for it as 5 star...regards
Pretty good plugin, great for custom sites, not as powerful as for example WooCommerce but on the other hand it doesn't force you to do anything, and there are no overcomplications.
IMO it is just missing a
1) product options filter (you can add custom options to products and change the price accordingly which is great, but don't have a filter for that)
2) a price range filter (from and to, or a range slider, or even better, both).
3) 2checkout integration would be good, since it is a pretty popular gateway.
The first 2 things I stated I believe are a must for any serious ecommerce plugin, the third one here and there.
All in all pretty good, hopefully it will evolve a bit more in time.
This plugin has a decent set of features, but the admin area is just not intuitive at all. The settings are dispersed in various different places, and setting up items with multiple options requires 3-5 clicks into completely different areas you really wouldn't think to look unless you read their instructions thoroughly.
I ended up going with WooCommerce and found it to be much easier to work with, less time spent reading on how to make it work, and quicker to get it up and working for my short deadline.
I think this plugin could be great, but it definitely needs a person with a usability background to help these guys out. :)
I installed the plug-in, activated it and now I can't access my wp-admin at all. I get a Server Error - Error code: 500.
Now I am researching how to get rid of it. What a waste of time.
The eShop plugin is great! It works and the support is very good. The only thing that I have found to be missing is allowing other users who are non-admins to administrate the eShop orders. The way it is setup works perfectly for a one man operation, but if you have other users who you want to manage orders within eShop but not be a wordpress administrator, then you will have to right some custom code hacks which will not be supported by eShop developers for obvious reasons. I cannot complain though. eShop is a great eCommerce system and gave me a base to which make develope my custom needs. All looked very well when I started using the plugin. But when I wanted to expand functionality I ran into a brick wall. The source is poorly written, inconsistent spaghetti code which makes it very hard to build upon without having to hack into the plugin source itself.
This plugin have a lot of benefits. I'm using it in a live site. I guess that there is a long way to develop more cool features.
I cannot be able to find the "able to use it as catalogue with no sales" feature. I mean, sure I can disable the plugin but I want to keep the pricing, so the thing I want to disable is the shopping cart only.
Another thing I cannot find is a basic option to notify the store admin when someone made an order.
Besides this, a great plugin.
I have used this plugin for my small scale business to sell EBOOKS through online. Though this plugin is having only PAYPAL, CASH, BANK which are supported by eSHOP team & other payment gateway's which are not supported any more, I have just used this plugin in my ELEGANT BOUTIQUE theme which is very awesome to run everything smoothly.
Recently, I have created an Addon for this plugin with a new merchant gateway. And that plugin is also working perfectly along with all other merchant gateways. Really awesome plugin.
