Obfuscate your email address or other sensitive information with a shortcode to prevent spam and automated harvesting of data.
Just what I needed. I plugin just for obfuscate te emails I want, with shordcode for easy and quick use and snipped option to integrate the plugin in a clean way inside the code (theme).
For those of us who are brand new to WordPress and don't speak CSS, please add a few simple instructions in plain English. Now that I have this installed and activated, what do I do exactly? Do I paste something into the text box every time I use an email address? If so, what and where? There is no Settings option. How exactly do I customize what the visitor sees like your example with "Bob"?
Works as expected. No settings, just a simple shortcode and you're done.
Thank you so much for this plug-in. I had over 70 emails on a membership roster, and this plug-in was so easy to use and to retrofit. The read me.txt file had the requisite information to make this work. You can even append the ?subject to the end of the email address. Brilliant!
I'm very grateful.
Does what it says on the tin! Easy to put in place, a small but useful set of options, seems to work well. No problems. Thanks for the nice plugin!
It's really a precision operation, very easy to use, very good against bots.
I use this plugin in a theme, I think it's great!
Installed and pasted the shortcode. It worked instantly. No setup. No muss. No Fuss. Thanks!
Usage is extremely simple; anywhere you want to drop an obfuscated email into your post or page, use the short code
[email-obfuscate email="firstname.lastname@example.org"]. Has the advantage of actually working correctly, unlike the other similar plugins I tried.
Why bother writing the plugin if you aren't going to write at least a short set of instructions.
There's no docs, no support, no notes; just two screenshots that are pretty, but useless.
'WRITE THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS!"
